| So Hills caught lying and more to the recall Well folks it looks like not only has more been added to the recall of Hill's food but they have been caught lying/hiding things from customers! Any respect I had left for them is gone. https://truthaboutpetfood.com/did-hi...t-of-pet-food/

| Thanks for the info. Have never considered Hills as an option for Gidget. I know Vets recommend it because there's always a display in their offices. Wonder if they recommend it or if there is an agreement with Hills. Hmmmm |

| I wouldn't choose to feed Hills over RC or Purina, personally. I've lost my faith in their company especially since these are RX foods being recalled. And it has nothing to do with the fact that it's Hills - I would have equally lost faith in another company who had the same issue.

| My vet has Royal Canin not Hills but if you want a certain food they will order it for you. Most vets usually choose one of the three big companies for prescription food which are Royal Canin, Purina or Hills.

| That’s 100% a myth and not true. My vet is happy to write me a prescription for Callie’s food for me to buy it some where else or I could get it from them. The price they charge vs what other places like chewy sell it for is the same. Sadly this is a huge myth which makes some people refuse to put their dog on a prescription food because they think the vets getting paid for it.

I used to believe this myth. EVERY vet I have ever spoken with or people I know that work at vets office honestly find keeping food there to be a pain in the butt lol. It's not even hardly worth their time but they keep it there for clients who NEED it.

| I feed my pups Hill's Ideal Balance and will continue to do so. I also have pups on Hill's Low Fat ID and Hill's Ultra ZD and will continue to feed them those foods. All of my pups are fine. If they showed ANY symptoms of Vit toxicity, they would have been at the vet! I saw posts from people on the Hill's Facebook page saying their dogs were sick for days and then died. Uh...hello....days??? I honestly do not believe all the hoopla regarding this recall. So many of the posts were simply unbelievable.

| This all smacks of the Dog Food Advisor. They charge you for their list of foods? LOL and probably based on "ingredients" .. Heaven help the domestic pets in this world. Cost Cost to purchase the List is variable, depending on the support you want/can afford to provide. Price varies from $10 to $100. No matter the price you purchase, the 2019 List is the same. I personally will stick with www.petdiets.com
