Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | $200 Yorkie in the classified There's a Yorkie listed in our classified section for $200. All it says is neutered male, has all shots and is friendly. No idea of age or pedigree. My question: If I like him, do I have a right to seek a health guarantee? He's so cheap, I can't imagine asking for a new-pup clause if he's sick. But how about a money back clause if I take him to the vet and find out he's sick? For that price, it's not really about the money, but I want to make sure someone's not unloading a sick dog on me.

| When people offer them at those prices they most likely offer no guarantee but you can give it a try. I think it would be pretty hard though for that price. Good Luck! |

| Absolutely. You have the right to ask and of course the seller has the right to say no. I would get all of the info about the furkid I could -- ask all questions that come to mind and look him over very closely, you are certainly smart enough to rule out the obvious such as a limp or wierd behavior. Then, if you are still intested in the little guy, then have the seller agree to let you take him for a thorough checkup. Your vet should be able to do some simple blood work and take a close look at him for congential problems. Oh boy oh boy, is Eddie gonna get a new little brother? |

| You never know what circumstances the sellers might be in. Sometimes folks get in a tight situation and have to find quick ways to raise a little cash. What better bargin would be a healthy Yorkie for $200. You never know until you ask. Good luck! |

| Doesn't hurt to ask for a health guarantee. I adopted Dixie for less than $200.00 and she is perfectly healthy. Go check him out! He's neutered too! Definite plus and one expense you won't have to worry about! Keep us posted! I hope you get him! |

| What an amazing find in the paper!! I would think you shouldn't have any problem discussing with the owner that the sale is contingent on a vet check showing good health. Maybe get this in writing or ?? (I'm not a lawyer and don't really know how all that works) WOW! I'am so excited for you. Just think, a fur Brother for Eddie.

| You are a good man to wait!! At that price it would be pretty hard to ask for a health guarantee but you could tell them you are concerned about health and wondered if you could check with their vet . If they say "no" you may have saved yourself alot of heartache. Just a thought.

just a basic check but with their vet, tests will show up that may have been given to determine an illness. Good Luck, my friend, I wish you the best but I don't want you to get stuck either.
