| I'm a new Yorkie owner, Xena's been part of the family for 2 weeks now and we love her so much. She's doing great on her potty training and she is so lovable. She loves playing with our other dogs and really is unhappy when left alone. If you want a dog that will give you lots of love and requires lots of love and attention then a Yorkie is a good choice! |

| I'm new too Sure hoping I am doing this right! I am new too. I am so happy to find a sight where you can talk about your babies and not get criticized. Well, like my name, I am the mother of 3 Yorkies. They are all my babies. I have Rocky who is 5 years old, Rosie who is 14 months old, and then there is Romeo, who is 7 months old. I will try to post pictures as soon as I can. I am very glad I found your site. |

| Yorkies are so lovable.A little slow on the potty training but once thats done, it's all uphill! They all have such unique personalities.Best to find a reputable breeder that gives a one year health guarantee.Welcome to yorkie talk! |

| Get a Yorkie!!! lol just joking... welcome to YT. I have had a Yorkie, Toy Poodle and a Maltese before, all were very special and I loved them to bits, but my heart belongs to Yorkies. I now have 2 Yorkies again and I'm in heaven. There is just something about them...

| I don't believe anyone has mentioned that you don't own yorkies. Yorkies own you! Yorkies are very personable and have so much character! They can be more demanding than the other breeds you have mentioned, as they do talk to you about their needs and are very active. I also have Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas are also very loving but can more of a one family dog. Chihuahuas may not get out to meet people in public as well as a yorkie. With Yorkies, the more the merrier and with Chihuahuas, the quieter the situation the merrier. Chihuahuas are more lap dogs and yorkies are more terrors The terrier attitude of the yorkie is what draws people to them, but if you don't have the energy for that, it may not be the dog for you. Please be sure you read up on liver shunt before buying a yorkie. You DO want to get a healthy one. I can't believe how many buyers ask if there was a 'runt' in the litter. That is exactly the puppy you would be concerned about having a shunt. Happy puppy hunting |

| I have a yorkie boy and he is a sweet cuddler but he can be a terror too! His a bit dog aggressive with any dog outside our family. He has had no health issues and he was a breeze to potty train. They love to be with you every moment and they are very very smart and learn quickly. If you are looking for a sweet, intelligent and clingy dog, get a yorkie. The maintenance on the coat is fairly easy as well and they do not shed. I have two maltese as well and their coats are much harder to manage. Do the "search" engine and you will come up with all kinds of information. Oh, and Welcome to YT!
