| Disappointed to report that PetSmart's online "harness sizing" page still refers to a breed named "Teacup Yorkshire Terrier." Seems a round 2 is in order. This morning, with the offending webpage loaded on my smartphone, I went to my local PetSmart. Spoke first to a cashier about the problem. The cashier found me in the store a few minutes later to bring me a pen and paper; he asked me to leave a note with him about this saying he would raise the issue with management. Then went to the Banfield Pet Hospital desk and spoke about this with the techs at the counter. I asked the Banfield techs to speak with their associates and management. |

| I am not sure how I missed this thread up until now but this pisses me off. I just sent the below message to petsmart through their feedback portal and I am going to send that same message every day until they change the website or block me from their website. Feel free to copy it and do the same. There is power in numbers. Here is the link to their feedback page. https://www.petsmart.com/account/con...late_type=help On your website in your Dog Harness Sizing Chart page you list a breed for the XX small harness as a “Teacup Yorkshire Terrier”. By doing this you are encouraging the abuse of the Yorkshire Terrier breed. There is no such thing as a “Teacup” yorkie. The AKC does not recognize the term. It is a name made up by breeders who intentionally breed undersized yorkies with the intent of charging more money for them. By breeding the undersized yorkies they are producing genetically inferior animals that most often have serious health problems and a shorter life span. The AKC lists the standard size yorkie as 7 pounds. These unscrupulous breeders will mate 3-4 pound female yorkies who are not large enough to safely carry litters with no regards to their health and well being. By listing this term on your website you are perpetuating this abuse. A company like Petsmart should be looking out for the best interest of the animals and not shamelessly promoting the abuse of Yorkshire Terriers for the sole intent of making a profit. Please remove that term from your website.
