| Cute puppy suspicious website?? Hello everyone, I lost my Yorkie Lexi 2 years ago on the 24th of January, I am finally ready to get another Yorkie. I came across a website and reached out to the breeder. I am very wary of buying online..since I have never done so. Red flag to me the low price of the puppies? Should I ditch and run? does anyone know of this breeder?AVAILABLE PUPS <---- link Whats your thoughts or suggestion... I did ask if I could come pick up the puppy and they said sure..... am I being paranoid?

| You are correct that is NOT a reputable breeder. They use the word teacup, the amount of puppies they say they have could not come from one little which means multiple litters more then likely at least 3, some of the yorkies don't look like yorkies, they also say they have mini and micro yorkies, the ship cargo it looks like which is not safe, the send the puppies home at 8 weeks, and they never say the puppies are AKC and that is the only reputable registry in the US. Those are all the red flags I see. I would stay far away from this breeder.

| Ditto on buying on line. Find someone who is close enough to you to drive to their house and pick the puppy of there. Keep looking and don't forget to back away if you aren't satisfied. |

| We had a member (tinydancer82) purchase a puppy in Feb. 2017 from Let's Talk Yorkie see link below https://www.yelp.com/biz/lets-talk-yorkie-bellmore-2 They are located in Bellmore NY. One of our long time members and breeder magicgenie commented she knows this breeder to be very reputable. tinydancer82 was very pleased with her puppy Check out her website good luck and let us know how you made out

They list out breeders by state. But, regardless of whatever they list on the site, always contact them, meet them (ideally at a dog show), and start a conversation with them to determine for yourself whether they're reputable or not. There's a sticky tab somewhere in the Breeders section that lists what to look for. Don't be surprised that there are reputable breeders that do not have a website advertising to sell puppies.

| Well I'm going to be honest with you no reputable breeder is going to breed for Chocolates and many old fashioned reputable breeders wont breed for parti's either. Chocolate is considered a fault so no reputable breeder will breed for a fault. Have you checked out the ytca.org? You want a breeder that keeps the puppies until 12 weeks, doesn't have many litters at one time, doesn't breed a female under 5 pounds, has them AKC registered, has a spay and neuter contracts and wont give you breeding rights just because you would pay more and knows their lines very well.
