| digging Does anyone have any advise on how to stop the pups from digging? We have tried the no dig spray that Petsmart sales and no luck at all. Yard is looking pretty rough but refilling the holes isn't really an option if they are just going to dig it back up. They arn't digging at the fence its mostly toward the middle of the yard.

| I'd be interested as well. Piper and I just relocated to Wisconsin and my totally wonderful brother had a rather expensive fence installed just for Piper. Piper discovered some loose dirt in one corner and ever since, constantly goes to that area to dig. I don't think she's trying so much to "escape"--she just likes to dig--however, if by digging she could get out, so much for specially installed, rather pricey fence! |

| What do you guys do when they start to dig? When Emma and I were in training class the trainer gave two tidbits that has made my life so much better for unwanted behavior No matter what it is . 1. Avoid the situation where possible 2. when the dog is doing the unwanted behavior give a correction (do what works for that dog) positive reinforcement when they are doing what you want. I don't have a fenced yard so we take Emma out on a leash and the leash training has helped quite a bit so maybe this could be an option to save you guys some time, money and frustration.

| Piper stops digging when I reprimand her, but I'd like for her to not dig in that corner at all...In my case, I'm hoping to get a solution from the fence guys when they return to install gates (fingers crossed!). |

| Sissy is my little digger. She was digging by the fence and by the patio. The advise I was given was to fill the holes with her poop. I though they were crazy but it did work for her. I had nothing to lose so I tried it.
