What do you guys do when they start to dig? When Emma and I were in training class the trainer gave two tidbits that has made my life so much better for unwanted behavior No matter what it is . 1. Avoid the situation where possible 2. when the dog is doing the unwanted behavior give a correction (do what works for that dog) positive reinforcement when they are doing what you want.
I don't have a fenced yard so we take Emma out on a leash and the leash training has helped quite a bit so maybe this could be an option to save you guys some time, money and frustration.
