| Respectfully, I don't think the issue is about crate training. They're not just crate training their dogs, this is where the dogs actually live...They're more than likely not allowed in the home b/c they're prob USDA licensed. How do they interact with people?

| Cedar Creek Kennel specializes in QUALITY Yorkies, not QUANTITY, I think NOT!!!!!! Shame on them, for worrying more about a stupid building than the puppies wellbeing!

Your pretty quick to judge without knowing the facts about this person. If you know something we don't I would like to hear it. If you look at the pic of the outside run she has a swing set ..To me it looks like they let the dogs out and set outside with them. I know I do ..we set out on warm pretty days..mine run the whole back yard and play ball..etc. And we don't come in until dark..

| Yorkie girl 2! Your set up is much, much different than the Yorkie Heaven kennels! How can they call it Yorkie Heaven????? I love your set up and would probably buy a dog from you in a nano-second! You can tell you truly care for the quality and love of a puppy. I have to admit, my Snoodles came from far worse than Yorkie Heaven. In fact, if I had gone myself, I would never have bought her. My daughter found her, as we couldn't find any here. She kept calling me to buy it, etc. She said she just could not leave her there it was so awful! When she arrived here (at 11 in the night) poor Snoodles stunk to high heaven. Being too late to bath her because I was afraid it would be too much at that time of night. I put her in the crate with nice new pillow and fleese blanket. The next morning, I had to wash everything it stunk so bad! My daughter said they were in a garage stacked 3 high and really stunk! Well, to this day, if I put her in a crate or carrying bag, etc. she goes absolutely ballistics! I believe she has far more seperation anxiety than most Yorkies because of this caged kennel. She was alone curled up in the back of the cage. How awful to not get any love and petting or not to even be able to cuddle with her siblings! Well, enough said about that, but I will never crate her again---ever! Pat |

| This Kennel seems to have several different breeds of dogs. I am thinking that she is probably USDA, and just maybe her breeding stock isn't "INSIDE HOUSE" dog's...JMHO Also, there is a Sharp contrast to crate training and Kennels Runs.

| My personal opinion on kennels/cages/whatever one likes to call them are only positive for our fur kids/babies. Now I don't agree with any fur kid/baby being placed in these types of kennels/cages for hours on end at a time. It is a safe haven to go to to provide comfort and safety for short periods of time. I for one am all for them. I would choose not to use a small kennel/cage for lengthy hours in a day, a play x-pen seems more suitable to me but everyone is different. Ransom goes into his play kennel when I can't watch him constantly, cleaning (refuse to have my fur kids around cleaners), or cooking dinner. I prefer him NOT to be underfoot while I am in the kitchen. Things could be dropped (often are) or hot items out of the oven, etc and I want my fur kids out of harms way!! I am totally the Tazmanian Devil while being in the kitchen. Regarding this breeders kennel it's hard to make an accurate judgement without seeing the facility in person I guess. Pictures and short descriptions do not often provide the full story. This is Ransom's play kennel/cage. He never seems to mind going into his own special place.

| I agree Schatzie, there's nothing wrong with kennels/cages if used properly like most people on here do Different things work for different people and doggies

I am so sorry your poor baby was treated this way...This type of person does not need animals period..this type of person only cares about the buck and not the care and welfare for the dogs... The only point I am trying to make is from the looks of Ceder Creek Kennels. She has a very clean place, grooming tables, play pens, etc. A person who spend this much money on a kennel like this, is more then likely going to have some nice dogs..and is serious about what she is doing. She also states She is showing her dogs. and Several of her dogs have many champions in their pedigree. I have seen some bad places too. Would I want to buy from someone who has fewer dogs and raises them in the a house type situation..YES But After knowing a little more about this person ..I would buy from her over someone like you were talking of ..who raises her in a garage like she does. I just think it is unfair to judge someone without knowing all the facts. We do not know how much time she spends with her dogs, if she has some outside help..etc. Sherry

| I am not going to judge this person because I don't know them and I've no clue how they actually conduct things there. I have to say it appears much better than the wire bottom chicken coups I witnessed years ago at a mill. I don't agree at all with caging any dog for the majority of it's life. The room I saw on that site reminded me of a "dog room" at the vet's office. And I'm gonna throw this in because it was stated on the site, so i'm not making an assumption here: If the dogs are kept in the cages while they go to work, then one of the family members should quit their job and stay home with their animals during the day so that they do not have to practically "live" in the crates. JMHO I have a groom kennel on my property. We built it ourselves and are a bit proud of it. It has a total of ONE crate in it that has been used maybe 4 times total in 4 yrs. I have 2 ex-pens in it also. I used to put my boys in my kennel when they needed to be seperated from females. After doing this a couple times, I couldn't even do that anymore and now I seperate them in different parts of my home. What my kennel boiled down to was basically to have a private place for me to do my grooming, while keeping hair out of my home, and to have a place to keep all of my supplies concerning my dogs because I don't have room for it all in my house. I also did a small amount of grooming other's dogs on the side but have since stopped doing that due to the tremendous work load it put on me. My kennel has a loft in the top which has been a wonderful storage area for me. My kennel is my own little private place to "escape" when I want to. I haven't even been in my kennel in a few days. Would I ever purchase a ton of cages and stack them in there? No way! I know how to keep the amount of yorkies that I own at a number that I can personally take care of and give individual attention. Is my house a "mad house" at times? Sure is! But I don't mind because I love my dogs. Having my kennel didn't change our lives much at all other than we have a place for our tables now as well as a place to keep some of our supplies and I really love that. I use it about once a week and it is nice to have. |

| Robbie, You need to hang a mirror on the wall behind your grooming table. My girlfriends Yorkie loves to watch herself be groomed. She actually preems in the mirror and it is a hoot to watch.
