| I would like to welcome you to YT, I cannot answer that question as it has always been just me and my yorkies, they had NO CHOICE but to bond to me lol.

| Each dog is different. My 2 Yorkie boys are equally bonded to the 2 humans in our home. We joke though that Max is mine and Teddy is my dad's dog. They have special things, routines, with each of us. Tell your husband not worry. Daisy may appear more bonded with you because of certain routines. For instance, I used to think my doggies only gave dad big greetings. It was mostly because dad left the house more. Now I leave the house more and for longer periods, and I get huge welcomes when I return. Teddy knows dad will sit on the couch with him and watch TV, whereas I am always sitting at my desk, working on the computer with Max in his bed at my feet.

| welcome to YT. My female is bonded to me. The male more so me (although husbands feeds them but I am the one who takes them on walks and to the park) but will lay in the lounge chair with my husband. DH finds it upsetting that the female will only bother with him when its time to eat. Maybe your husband needs to get his own dog

| Interesting question, and it's made me look at how Wookie reacts to Pete and myself. Wookie will greet us both equally enthusiastically, will come to either of us if she wants a cuddle, and likes to snooze between us when we're watching telly. If she wants to go outside for the toilet she'll stand by the door and look from one to the other to make it plain she wants to go out. However, when she wants to play she'll pick up one of her toys and come to me, unless it's with her ball or frisbee when we're out walking. Then it's Pete she'll go to, probably because he can throw further!. When she's hungry she'll sit on her feeding mat and look at me (even though Pete feeds her when I'm not there!) At bed time she won't go up with Pete if he goes up early because he's on early shift, she'll stay downstairs with me until I go up. We visited my mother at the weekend, who Wookie loves, but even my Mum commented that although Wookie was happy to run around and interact with all three of us, it was me she constantly looked to, and would follow if I went anywhere. So I guess the bond is deepest with me, as far as Wookie in concerned. |

| There's two people in my household (my 14 year old daughter and myself). I work from home so Emma spends a great deal of time with me however when my daughter comes home from school Emma ditches me for all of my daughters affection.

| I think a general breed trait is that a lot of yorkies are one-person dogs. The yorkie I had growing up liked my mom best. I now have two of my own and one of them is definitely "my" dog. The other one likes everyone in my house equally so I think it really depends on the individual dog. I've also only had boys. |

| Hello and welcome to YT I'm in charge of taking my boy outside to go potty. My wife has to be the one to put him on the couch. Overall, it's about equal

| Hi, welcome, and congratulations on your new Yorkie baby. How very nice that you and your hubby were able to rescue her and give her a forever home. I really couldn't give a definitive answer as to 'why' she would bond more closely to you than to your hubby, but I can say that, in our house, all three of our Yorkies are "Daddy's Buddies" but are "Mommy's Babies" LOL We do play somewhat different roles with them...I do more of the 'mom' chores...bathing, brushing, training, etc., and he mostly plays with them and cuddles them. They don't like me to be out of their sight, and will park at the door, or where they can see the door, if I have to go out, possibly whining or barking during my entire absence where he can simply walk out and they might glance that way, but none of the 'OMG Mommy's gone" behavior is evident...they seem barely to notice he is gone. They are ecstatic when we return home, but Mommy HAS to be kissed by all three...daddy pets, maybe gets a toy, too...but the behavior is slightly different. It's really no big deal to us. All three Yorkies are very close and bonded to both of us...just in slightly different ways...and between the three of them, we are constantly supervised, monitored and generally bossed around.

| Our boy Toby came to us from a rescue, and the Wife held him on the way home, so he is definitely bonded to her, but he and I spend the mornings together so we have our one on one time....but he is momma's boy, and I'm okay with that as long as he (and the Wife) are happy |

| Welcome to YorkieTalk. Our little Kinder hangs on Daddy during the day and at night she sleeps on me. She knows my husband takes her outside more than me. We know she loves both of us the same though. I have to trim her and give her baths so she knows her Dad does not do that. They sure are cute and funny. Susan |

| We got Zeus on December 28, 2014 against my wishes. I was 46 and had never owned a pet. I am so in love with his Yorkiebutt it is actually pitiful. He is 100% mama's boy to the core. He ditches anyone and everyone for me. In March of 2016, we got Perseus for my teenage son and husband since I "stole" Zeus's heart, love, and affection. I love his Yorkiebutt just as much. I am sad to report that Perseus is 100% mama's boy to the core. They both ditch anyone and everyone for me. So now my teenage son and husband want to get a Yorkie girl, because she will bond with the males and not me. I don't know if that is true. Maybe someone here can answer that for me; however, my husband's nickname for me is MOAY (Mother of all Yorkies). He says every Yorkie I encounter falls in complete and total love with me. I guess we'll see. At this point, I'm wondering if Mississippi or Lowndes County has a limit on how many dogs a person can have! |

| Both Scottie and Casie have bonded more with me because I'm their main person. I walk, feed, train, play, groom, bathe, and basically do everything for them. Fiance sometimes walks them and occasionally feeds them, then complains that the dogs don't always listen to him, makes him feel secondary to me, and he doesn't know why. lol
