Hi, welcome, and congratulations on your new Yorkie baby. How very nice that you and your hubby were able to rescue her and give her a forever home.

I really couldn't give a definitive answer as to 'why' she would bond more closely to you than to your hubby, but I can say that, in our house, all three of our Yorkies are "Daddy's Buddies" but are "Mommy's Babies" LOL We do play somewhat different roles with them...I do more of the 'mom' chores...bathing, brushing, training, etc., and he mostly plays with them and cuddles them. They don't like me to be out of their sight, and will park at the door, or where they can see the door, if I have to go out, possibly whining or barking during my entire absence where he can simply walk out and they might glance that way, but none of the 'OMG Mommy's gone" behavior is evident...they seem barely to notice he is gone. They are ecstatic when we return home, but Mommy HAS to be kissed by all three...daddy pets, maybe gets a toy, too...but the behavior is slightly different.

It's really no big deal to us. All three Yorkies are very close and bonded to both of us...just in slightly different ways...and between the three of them, we are constantly supervised, monitored and generally bossed around.
