Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Puppy swap, trade in your old dog What a brilliant idea. Okay, you must watch the whole video before you get angry. What do you do when that cute puppy gets old and ugly, drop them off at the shelter and pick up a new puppy.http://www.techly.com.au/2016/04/29/puppyswap-swap-gross-old-dog-cute-new-puppy/ Very thought provoking

| Oh, this really touched a nerve with me. Ad after ad on a local swap sheet shows people trying to "sell" older dogs. They all make me cry. I tried so hard to keep my senior dogs with me. They were blind, deaf, on expensive meds, but I just loved them for all they had given me, and wanted them with me forever. I wish I could buy everyone of these old dears. When did people get so awful? |

| Thank you for the warning to watch to the end. Otherwise I would have been on my broom, emailing them and #€%£{|¥ them out.

| gave me the chills. so sad. dogs are a huge, long term commitment. I get very nervous when people come on here looking for something cheap or super specific requirements. My first maltese lived until 17 and the end of her life was so difficult, but I cannot imagine abandoning her. ugh. thank you for sharing. |

Humankind can be very sad. Satirical videos like this proves a point - but I'd bet many ignorant people wish a 'puppyswap' was real. Those unethical breeders creating teacups are totally marketing to those people. Puppies are cute when they're babies but they are family when they grow up, no matter what their size. My previous dog lived a long happy 19 years; I could also never ever imagine abandoning her when she was there for me for such a large bulk of my life and also when she needed me most.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Sad isn't it? They give you all their best always. And when they need you the most they are abandoned. And while an old dog can adjust to a new home why should they have to? My old guy is the nearest and dearest to my heart. Like an old pair of slippers we fit each other.

I see this so often at our shelter People buy a cute puppy over the holidays, then when the dog gets older and maybe not so cute they drop them off at the shelter. Terrible!

| My now passed girl was 17 y/o when I had to put her down. She was 95% deaf, blind and dementia had started, I loved her even more. Even with the high cost of meds I wanted her to be with me forever. I wound not get another dog, a puppy, I devoted all my attention to her. It is 2.5 years she is gone and I still miss her terribly. To ME getting a dog is like the wedding vow. To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part. Thank you for sharing.
