| Jimmy Coconuts my name is Rachel my dogs name is above in the title I just adopted him on 3/20/2016 hes afraid of everything its just a guess but we think he has lived in a crate his whole life hes terrified of everything hes 11 months old when we went to adopt him we arrived at 7:30 pm she said to get there at 8:00 pm we went to the door and rang the door bell it sounded as if at least 50-60 dogs all barked at the same time then it all went quiet and she finally opened the door we thought she only had him because that's what it sounded like on the phone she said he was 350.00 we brought him home and started the horrible task of 2 days of trimming the matts out of his hair he was so matted he couldn't move his head and ears we finally got it where we could shave him hes adorable now. she said she just had him to the vet 6 days ago but I started to do routine care cleaning his ears and went through 200 q-tips and they all came out black so we took him to our vet for a second opinion and he has a double ear infection his teeth were brown to |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome. First, congrats! I'm so glad this poor little one is with you. It's very clear to be that he was grossly neglected and very possibly just stuck in a cage. Be patient, give lots of TLC and he will come around...but he will be scared to trust, obviously. Second though, PLEASE call your local humane ass'n and tell them about the kind of shape he was in and that you believe there are a LOT of other animals in this horrible person's care - please help those other dogs!!!

| Hi Rachel. Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I'm so glad Jimmy Coconuts is in your loving care now. Love his name. I can imagine how much better he feels already having all of the mats removed and medicine for his ear infections. As Wylie's Mom indicated, lots of love and patience will help your new baby settle in to his new home and gain confidence.

| Welcome to YT! Bless you for giving this 11 month old furbaby a home where someone is going to care about him and for him to love. Like the others have said it will take a while and you will need to be patient. Can only imagine how confused he may be. Have you had Yorkies before? This is a great site and folks here will be very helpful and honest with you. Glad you found us !!

| Perhaps you called the wrong line or didn't reach the right people. Try the Washington Humane Society: Report Cruelty/Neglect and Animal EmergenciesHumane Law Enforcement - Washington Humane Society

| Here is some more information on how to report Animal Cruelty in WA state: https://www.paws.org/get-involved/animal-cruelty/ Reporting cruelty Even if you are not sure that you are observing animal cruelty or neglect, please report it anyway. An animal control officer will make that determination. If no prosecution occurs, at least the officer can educate the person who is caring for the animal in humane treatment. When making your report, ask for the name of the animal control officer and what action is planned. Follow up, and report any change observed in the animal's treatment. Be aware that an investigating officer is not likely to identify the source of the complaint; however should the cruelty suspect be prosecuted, you may be called as a witness. Your concern for the animal should outweigh your concern about having to testify.

| Welcome to YT Rachel and Jimmy Coconut, cute name. I have to agree with all above TLC and patience, he has to gain trust in the ppl in his new home, who knows what this little boys life has been. He is still a baby at 11 months old, he needs to gain confidence with his new and family and in himself. He is young but it still may take time, take baby steps with him, and praise like crazy when he does something you want of him, reward with treats also. He was blessed that you found him and giving him the medical attention he needed. Bless you. (((hugs)))
