Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT . First and foremost - one of THE most relevant RED FLAGS when buying a quality yorkie is to 1000% avoid any/all breeders who claim they sell/have/breed "teacups" - there is NO such thing as a yorkie teacup. Unscrupulous breeders use the word "teacup" as a marketing / psychological tool to make you think there is a specialty and to drive up their prices that YOU pay. ALL yorkies are considered standard yorkies at 7lbs and under. There is NO teacup category - never has been, never will be. That word is considered a huge no-no by ethical breeders. Find an ethical person / breeder to deal with so that you end up with a healthy, well-bred puppy.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I agree with Wylie's Mom. Lots of red flags on the website. I would want a much better health guarantee. There is no information on the parents of the pups. I get the feeling this might be a puppy broker and not the breeder, especially with more than one breed listed. Cute puppies, but the first photo that indicates the dog will probably be 4 pounds full grown is likely wrong. Judging from the size of the pup in relationship to the hand holding the tail, I'm guessing adult size will be much larger (my boys are above the standard 7 pounds, and I know what they looked like as puppies). Best wishes in your search.

YT 500 Club Member | Just like the others stated, Teacup is a bad word. It's a marketing scam and a damned effective one. It's usually a lie anyway. And if they do come out smaller in size, there's more of a risk of health issues. Since becoming a member here, if there's one thing I've learned it's that people that breed for the smaller and smaller sizes breed ONLY for the size and aren't so much concerned with the health aspect of the puppies. They aren't breeding for the betterment of the breed, they're just trying to miniature them. They just know they can make more profit off of the"teacup" label. So as a general rule, if it has teacup or "micro" or "mini" in the name or posted on the website, chances are it's a heartache waiting to happen. A Yorkie is a dog. A Teacup is a dish. Don't let them confuse you. |

| NCTeacups.com is a scam! Unfortunately I was a victim. I did my research and everything seemed legitimate. I was trying to purchase two yorkies, so I sent the deposit on both dogs. The plan was to pick them up this weekend, I was going to drive to Fairfax, Va. Friday I received an email asking for the rest of the money because their daughter had become ill. I did not transfer the money, instead I offered to change my plans so I could drive up sooner, pick up the puppies and they could get the rest of the money. They stated that I could just pick up the puppies on the original day. The day before I tried to contact them for additional information for the pick up, email and phone. They have not/did not reply, the day came and went for pick up. Do not fall into this scam, I am out $600 and I do not want anyone else to lose their money. |
