Just like the others stated, Teacup is a bad word. It's a marketing scam and a damned effective one. It's usually a lie anyway. And if they do come out smaller in size, there's more of a risk of health issues. Since becoming a member here, if there's one thing I've learned it's that people that breed for the smaller and smaller sizes breed ONLY for the size and aren't so much concerned with the health aspect of the puppies. They aren't breeding for the betterment of the breed, they're just trying to miniature them. They just know they can make more profit off of the"teacup" label. So as a general rule, if it has teacup or "micro" or "mini" in the name or posted on the website, chances are it's a heartache waiting to happen. A Yorkie is a dog. A Teacup is a dish. Don't let them confuse you. |
