I just got word this morning that the person who was babysitting the little yorkie decided to keep her

Oh well, I guess just so as long as she found a good home! My search for a yorkie continues! I have been in touch with a few breeders so I have hope

It sounds like a good deal. I would personally not pay that much, but if that is in your price range, then check it out. She looks adorable. Just remember that they are going to talk her up to get her a new home. I got a dog off Craigslist, AKC for $25. She had 4 kinds of worms and needed all her vetting. She was worth it in the end, but my initial price was low and the worms were treatable and then all her shots and getting spayed, so I did end up putting several hundred dollars into her, but ended up with a great and loving dog. This one comes with everything, so you won't have that initial vet costs hopefully. You can ask about taking her to your vet, or contacting their vet about the dog.

Go with what your feel though. If she looks good and is friendly then maybe it is what you are looking for.

I recently took in a 9 year old Yorkie and he is amazing.

It wasn't meant to be then. Now you are relieved from all the decisions.

I think everything will work out for the best for you and you can have a little more confidence that you will be starting fresh with a healthy puppy who hopefully comes without pre-existing problems.

I am really sorry that you didn't end up getting the yorkie. Good luck in finding a yorkie that will be meant to be yours and that you will fall in love with.

I am sorry your wait for a Yorkie is extended. I believe your perfect Yorkie baby will find you soon. I didn't mean to scare you...the ad just struck me odd, and I see Yorkies sold on a regular basis for $600 or so...sold...not 're-homed'...from ads in newspapers, etc., and advertised as AKC registered, although doubtful they need registration because doubtful they are good "breeding stock" dogs that meet the standard or could be judged as winners in conformation. My Yorkies are altered pet babies, regardless of their registration status...which was not even mentioned when they were re-homed' to me, by the way. So, it was some of those differences, and the 'reasons' for re-homing and 'selling points' that triggered my 'caution' button. LOL. Darling Yorkie, though...aren't they all?

I am not sure where you live but there are decent breeders that will sell pet quality yorkies for $700.00. Most will not be health tested but unless you go to a very good breeder that either shows or has shown not many health test, and if you were thinking about buying from Craig's list it's not much different. If you do get a puppy try to get one that is at least 12 weeks old, there is a big difference in yorkies at 8 weeks to 12 weeks, and since they are toy breed they are very tiny at that age so risks for complications are greater than say with an 8 week old lab. Try to find out from friends and yorkie groups where people have gotten theirs from. Also look at rescue groups because the majority do not charge $700.00 unless perhaps it's for a puppy. Good luck

I live buy the saying "everything happens for a reason" this was meant to be, you WILL find that lil baby you are searching for and when you do you'll be thankful you lost out on this lil one. He / she is out there waiting for you.
