| A bit scary, that ad. How fast is their family growing in the 1.5 years of the Yorkie's life, I wonder. Oh, and do people worry if a dog that age sleeps through the night? Brody and Mia were younger that dog is, but that was never mentioned by their previous owners. Maybe I am just too overly suspicious of Craigslist...? LOL. Cute Yorkie, though.

| Hi! She looks like a beautiful little dog. As for the re-homing fee, I have come across many Yorkies that are far older at rescue sites that are that much as an adoption fee. I think when people get a dog and have invested money, they try to recoup as much of their investment as possible. It's sad, but that is the way the world works. I would take someone along when you go to see her. I am nervous about ads as well. Hopefully, the ad turns out to be exactly what it says it is and that wee girl will get a home where no one will ever want to give her up. Best of luck. |

| I don't think the price is too high, I think these ppl want to re-coop what it cost them in vaccines they invested in this dog, also the dog is somewhat house broken. That's a beautiful yorkie, it won't last long. Not saying there are not scams on craigs list, just saying IMO I don't think $700 is a lot to pay IF the dog comes with AKC papers.

| I have the same thoughts as everyone else....have someone go with you to be a little on the safe side. It does seem s little "too good to be true" in a way....perfect little angel but doesn't fit in with their family. Hopefully we are all wrong and you wind up bringing her home! Just be safe, take a friend (preferably a scary body builder :-) and do not bring or show money until it is decided you are taking her home. Unfortunately some people are so gross we have to think about things like are they gonna rob you or is this even their dog. Hope it turns out well for you both though!

| The reason why people on Craigslist use the word "re-homing" is because they don't allow you to sell animals on there. Anyways, I bought both of my fur babies from Craigslist and one is pure bred AKC registered. Both are great with no health issues so far. Just trust your gut instinct when talking to the seller. I've ran into some terrible ones and had to walk away. |

| A plus though, is if they put the 'rehoming fee" too low or free, unscrupulous people would "adopt" them and use them for bait dogs (or cats, there are lots of cats advertised as free). Awful I know but it's reality. A high-ish rehoming fee is what reputable rescues use to screen out "those" people. But there are lots of people who want to recoup their money so they say a high rehome fee.
