| I am so very sorry to hear what you and little Cody went thru. You certainly did NOT let him down. You did everything in your power to try to get him treated. It was the vet who screwed up in a big way! Thats pure negligence and not your expertise. We may have our gut instincts about what is wrong with our pets, but we rely on our vets and their education and experience to determine the cause and cure. In this case that wasn't done at all. My first thought is that the first time you picked him up, the vet didnt come out to speak to you. I hope you find satisfaction in filing a report for "wrongful" death, if that even exists in animal cases. But at the very least I would cause as much trouble as I could for this particular vet! It wont ease the pain of losing your beautiful little boy, but you may help prevent this happening to some other innocent animal. My prayers and heart are with you...I know this is a pain that only other dog lovers understand. They are actual family members and beloved in every sense of the word..xox It's brutal that this has happened. |

| You didn't let Cody down, this is all on your vet. We as dog owners count on/ depend on/ believe and trust what our vets tell us. Yes, I also find it strange the first time you picked Cody up your vet did not come out to talk to you. In all honesty, if that was me, I would be in jail right now if my vet was responcible for the death of my baby. Finish what you started with filing a complaint against this vet, it will not bring Cody back but, can / may save other sweet innocent babies the same neglectful fate.

| I am so sorry for your loss and thank you for taking the time to type your heart wrenching story out for us. I learned about 10 years ago that vets are not God and do not always come to the right conclusion, it's just a shame that we have to find these things out the hard way through the loss of a beloved pet. It is obvious to all of us reading this how much your loved your Sir William Cody, you did exactly what we would have suggested and that is to take him to the vet and spare no expense in finding out what was wrong. Most people trust their vet so it is only natural you would believe they were doing EVERYTHING to find out what was wrong. I know money is your least concern now but I sure hope the clinic does not have the nerve to charge you for their service. RIP little Sir William I know you were well loved and will be forever remembered and perhaps your story will help other pets from having to go through what you did.

| Jesus, I don't even know what to say other than I'm so sorry for your loss and that your vet was incompetent in the handling of this case. I don't know if I would be able to keep it together if I found that a diagnosis was so far off and the vet totally dismissed your request to check the airway. So very sorry for your loss.

| OMG !! That poor baby , he must have been in so much agony. It was not your fault and if it were me that vet would no longer be a vet when I was thru with them nor have 2 pennies to rub together!!!! I am just so heartbroken for you and so furious at the incompetence of the vet. My prayers are with you in your own healing from this. |

| I am so very sorry for the loss of your little furbaby. What a horrible thing to happen. I was crying as I was reading your account of what happened. Please know that it was NOT your fault; you did NOT let him down. You did everything in your power, that you knew, to help him. It is the vet's fault. They are the ones that harmed your baby and let him down. I can't believe that no one at the vet hospital saw that there was something wrong with Cody and spoke up or do further testing. I would continue in your quest with the State Board or whoever governs vets and their practices in your state to bring a suit against him and hopefully get them to take away his license and close his practice so that no one else is the recipient of his care. I would hope that he doesn't have the nerve to charge you anything at all for any of his services. Also, I would look into your city's court to see if you can bring a civil suit against your vet in a small claims court. It won't bring Cody back but it might give you some satisfaction.

| You did not let him down!! You did everything for him and he knows that; you loved one another without equal and that is everything. And your precious boy leaves a legacy for all pet owners; I'm sure that by relating this unimaginable and painful event, countless pets will be saved. May God Bless you and yours always. Please do not blame yourself for trusting a professional--that individual is to blame...inexcusable. You were always there for your little one...he knows that and will always love you, would never accuse you, ever. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. | YT 2000 Club Member | I am touched with sadness about the loss of your precious Cody. There are no words to say yet prayers for comfort will be said for you. My only consolation to you would be that it is my belief that we, dogs included have an appointed time under heaven that our life comes to an end here on earth. We are told in the bible that man has an a day when his life is over here. I believe the animals too have a day designed for each of them. When that time comes, be it a bone or a seizure or an accident it is time for them to return to their Creator. They go home. Neglience or not, it was his time. Take comfort in knowing that all of us at Yorkietalk.com care and we will be thinking of you and I will pray that you will come to peace with this. I am so sorry this happened. May little Cody shine his little dog light bright for you to see in your hearts that he is not suffering but at peace. |

| I cannot tell you how sorry I am for you and your family. This is a truly horrifying story. I actually had to stop reading every couple paragraphs because it was so upsetting. I am absolutely furious with your vet and the way this situation was handled. A truly truly horrible vet. I am even questioning whether they are even a real vet. I cannot believe they could have that dog in their care for that long and not figure out that something was wrong. You and your family are in my thoughts. |

| I am so very, very sorry for your loss. We lost our Charlie at the end of April. It was also a situation where the vet didn't do everything that could be done so I completely understand how lost you are feeling. Thanks so much for sharing. Like you, I really felt I had let my wee girl down. I have spent the last couple of months going over it my mind. Try not to be too hard on yourself. I'm really glad for you and for Sir William, that you were there with him at the very end. My heart is breaking for you. Praying that you will find some comfort in remembering the love you shared. |

| I am so sorry to read your sad ordeal. What an awful thing to go through and how sad the vet did not check him out throughly. You did everything for your baby and he knew it. Susan |
