Kong "Challenged" - Me not Mignon! OK - I just bought my 5 month old Mignon a puppy Kong. Now What?? Her treats are tiny and just fall out (no challenge there). I tried peanut butter but it didn't freeze - just a goopy mess (that she loved). The darn thing only came with directions to fill with water! Does anyone have a "how to" set of instructions for Mignon's stupid mommy! As always thanks for the input!

I'm sure there is a better answer but I took 4 "pupperoni" sticks and shoved them in standing up with just a tiny bit sticking out the end. She's been at it for about 1/2 hour now - with mom ocassionally pulling the sticks out a bit! I didn't want to use the Kong treats cause she's such a fussy eater.

| I use fat free cheese slices! My girl will work away at her Kong for an hour sometimes trying to lick all the smooshed up cheese out of the hole! I usually smoosh in 1/3 of a slice, and she is good to go! Today I had no slices, so I used shredded, but smooshed it so it held together in there. It worked the same. You did good with the Pupperoni!

I am thinking you might have the wrong size treat to put in the kong. Do you have the kong treats? They come in mini and regulare size and they are shaped like the kong. I just put one in the kong and KimMee chews on it till she can't reach it anymore and then I help her out. I also use the kong canned spred, it looks like cheese and you can put anything in it of course. good luck

I just take a little peanut butter and smear it around on the inside of the kong with my finger, but never more than a "tounge length". They spend hours working at getting every list tiny lick and because I am very stingy with the pbutter, it never upsets their regular eating routine. I have never heard of freezing water in one, I guess I didn't read the directions.

I have never tries the Kong but someone on here suggestedd putting a treat in a empty water bottle and trying that . She loved it I break up one of her treats and at first she couldn't get the hang of it but it didn't take long. She was at it today and one piece went under a wicker table and she couldn;t get it. I was sitting beside her on the chair and she started to look at me , look at the table and bark. I didn't know at first what she wanted but she got the message accross. Guess when she went to all that work of getting it out and she was awhile at it, she was not going to give that piece up. haha BOY are these little gaffers ever smart. Luv that girl!!
