I am thinking you might have the wrong size treat to put in the kong. Do you have the kong treats? They come in mini and regulare size and they are shaped like the kong. I just put one in the kong and KimMee chews on it till she can't reach it anymore and then I help her out. I also use the kong canned spred, it looks like cheese and you can put anything in it of course. good luck
