| Elliemae Hi all Last December my twin sister knew I was not getting over the death of Elliemae I had her since she was 8 weeks old and sadly she had to be put to sleep 22nd April 2014 aged over 16 years, every day was a struggle for me because I could not cope without her she was my best friend, my sister saw on the internet a yorkie who needed a good home and I must admit she is lovely I have had her for 4 months she loves me and I love her. Her name is Lexi. |

| I'm sorry for your loss of Elliemae. It is so hard to lose them. Your sister is a wonderful person to find Lexi a good and loving home.

| I'm so sorry on the loss of your precious EllieMae. Your sister is so kind to have helped you rescue another beautiful little puppy. I got my Sunni in a similar way after losing my dearest little George..a Shih Tzu..but he was my shadow. I was devastated when he died, and yes I think its very normal to still grieve when you think of EllieMae. Time will eventually soften the raw pain, but you will always miss her and love her. My little miss sunshine, brought me back to life. She's nothing at all like George, but as crazy as it may sound…I kind of feel like George had something to do with my finding her, lol. She's a ray of sunshine in my life now. I still cry when I see pictures of George, and I let myself feel the feelings then let them go till they pop up again. Having the puppy to focus on has helped me so much. I hope the same goes for you with Lexi. |

| Well Kate, I'm pretty sure everyone here who has lost a beloved little soul mate, completely understands how much it hurts. You are in the right place for sure! Everyone here are true dog lovers I actually have triplets, lol. A girl and two boys. The boys are fraternal. I was expecting twins, lol..surprise!! They are grown now, so my pets fill up that void too!! |

I think it's only natural for you to still miss Elliemae and to be honest, I think you will for the rest of your life. She was one of your biggest love in your life after all. One of my sister's family had a Dalmatian. One of the SWEETEST dog you'll ever meet. I miss him and think about him from time to time. He wasn't even my dog! I bet Elliemae sent Lexi to be with you in her place. | |
