I'm so sorry on the loss of your precious EllieMae. Your sister is so kind to have helped you rescue another beautiful little puppy. I got my Sunni in a similar way after losing my dearest little George..a Shih Tzu..but he was my shadow. I was devastated when he died, and yes I think its very normal to still grieve when you think of EllieMae. Time will eventually soften the raw pain, but you will always miss her and love her. My little miss sunshine, brought me back to life. She's nothing at all like George, but as crazy as it may sound…I kind of feel like George had something to do with my finding her, lol. She's a ray of sunshine in my life now. I still cry when I see pictures of George, and I let myself feel the feelings then let them go till they pop up again. Having the puppy to focus on has helped me so much. I hope the same goes for you with Lexi. |
