| YT 2000 Club Donating Member  |  The only reason I see for the docking would be a significant risk of adult tail breakage. That would probably be breed specific. I would like to see unbiased stats from the European countries who banned this practice I think it was 2007 we now have 8 years of clinical data to peruse. Ican tell you with my Zoey I was very worried for her extra long tail - she was an enthusiastic tail wagger. Small hallway - I winced everytime I came home and her tail thudded from one wall to the other wall with her greetings. Of course this is a big breed so...
