| Kimchi got spayed :p Kimchi looked like a hot mess when I picked her up this morning (had decided to let her stay the night at the vet). Tried to put her in her crate and she just slips right out before I can close the door ^^; I can imagine she's sick of being kenneled in. She looks tons better after a couple of hours of being home. I wasn't able to sleep last night till after 2am X_x, though they said she was doing well, was worried about her emotional condition. They fed her some before I picked her up and I fed her some good canned food and little treats she loves (a dab or two of whip cream, cause she got excited when she heard the coffee machine ^_^;;..) Since she had her front right leg shaved for the catheter, it looks so skinny, lol But yea, my little crybaby had cried most of the way home. Her teeth looks much better now that they got rid of the baby teeth. Vet was surprised she let me see them and that I noticed them (I told them she had too many beforehand, they had a hard time examining her mouth as she doesn't like her face being handled, she had a bunch of teeth that were suppose to come out but hadn't). I was like "she opens wide for her treats ^^;;" and I check her teeth at least once a week or whenever I treat her. So I was able to notice that she had way too many at this stage. She's always been a front chewer and not so much on the sides. So far so good and she hadn't exerted herself too much like she normally does and has took it easy. As long as she can continue to do so, I won't have to force her into her crate. I went ahead and gotten a cone for her at Petsmart, just incase (and also not a real bad idea to have on hand) even though the vet had already offer one if she kept licking. She randomly whines, but that's expected. I know she doesn't feel good and that she's a whiner, anyways. She does perk up real good whenever I brought out the can of whip cream Because I went with all the recommended precautions, her bill came up a pretty penny ^^; But I don't regret it, as long as she's doing well. Thankfully I have tomorrow off, so I can keep an eye on her. Told everyone don't let her get on the couch or anything and to make sure she isn't licking or something. She weighed about 9lbs before surgery and I'm sure she lost a lb after. The pain meds they gave me is for half a pill a day (they already cut it for me), and they already gave her one this morning. Though I'm wondering if it really could last most of the day X_x;

Either way, I will just be happy for her to recover. I must admit there were many times before the spay that I've wondered if I should just forget it and let her be (she's is a very sensitive yorkie). But then I remember reports of yorkies being one of the highest ranked in theft and so on, and I think to myself this may be the only way I can protect her in the case if she's taken from me other than death. ..Ugh this sounds so depressing x_x well, anywhoo, I'm am thankful for your words of encouragement.

| So glad Kimchi is on the fast track to recovery and almost back to being her spunky self again! I understand your worry. I too felt so guilty/bad when I picked Periwinkle up from the vet after her spay at 7 months old. She did not stay overnight so was super groggy upon pick up, which was very very sad to see since she is such an alert and in-your-face puppy. Peri wasn't able to make any barking sounds (maybe caused by the tube down her throat during the procedure?) for the next day or so. Gosh, I was a wreck! The vet actually gave me Peri's baby teeth in a vial for a keepsake, which sentimental me still has. Sending happy thoughts to you and Kimchi for a speedy recovery!

| Thank you ^_^ She's been doing much better this morning. Heard her sigh in front of my door early early this morning (a bit past 4am) so I figured to go ahead and give her a pain med. I can tell she's been feeling much better and has that little spark in her eyes again. Amazing how different she looked when I picked her up from the vet, she didn't look like herself at all, which hit me hard. Even when recovering some yesterday she still didn't look quite the same. It's as if her face hair formed to how she feels. But now she looks about like her old self again. We had our morning routine where I make coffee and she sits and waits (and whines some) for her cream. She's been trying to lick at her stitches some so I went ahead and put the cone of shame on her ^^;; I gotten the last pink one at PetSmart and figure this cone will be handy for alot of other cases with my furbabies.

| lol yea, I let it stay on for a bit then remove it to give her a break and when I see her trying to lick again I slide it back on. She thankfully doesn't try to constantly lick her wounds and right now my concern is her wanting to run, jump and play X_x lol which is great if she was fully recovered. Will be having her stitches removed next week on Thursday and by then I wouldn't have to worry about her activity as much.
