				   | Does anyone else with long haired yorkies get the same comments once in a while from people? I think people are so accustomed to seeing shaved or short hair yorkies that they don't understand that a yorkie can also have long hair! For example, I actually never knew that maltese's have long coats like yorkies until I made a search because the average person usually just shaves it down short. Both short and long haired yorkies are gorgeous, I never tell anyone with short hair yorkies.. "OH you need to grow that hair out!" I like Chloe's long chin hair and it won't be getting cut.

				   | I kept my Milo in a full coat and every time I took him to the groomer they would ask if I was getting his hair cut. One time when he was younger they suggested I trim his ends to make it look neater and it came out looking horrible and I never cut/trimmed it again. Full coats are a lot of work but I loved it for him. Its just a matter of preference. |

				   | I LOVE the full coat, but HATE the maintenance lol, and I LOVE to mush up my babies, can't do that with full coat unless you want to constantly be brushing. Years back I kept two in full coat, but, I had a family member that use to groom them. My past girl was kept semi full coat, her hair was very fine and never matted up. My Cody I keep in a puppy cut, I can mush him up all day, or, when he allows me to lol. Yep, I agree, it's a matter of preference.

				   | Totally agree with a full coat..love the look, and brushing is good for de-stressing when the day has been bad.

				   | Long coats are beautiful. I like to see them but I keep my boys in a short cut. They are always wrestling and messing it up. Love to see long flowing on others.

				   | No one has said anything to me about Lola's hair, but I've had people say nasty things to me about my hair or they act like I'm a bad person for not donating it. I also have long, natural nails so that leads to fun comments too. People need to learn to mind their own business. |

				   | Wow, stunning!! What do you use on her hair? Her hair looks PERFECT! I love her coloring and everything. Chloe is still mostly black on her body with some silver strands but her face is getting blonder.

				   | I've never gotten extension comments, but people frequently argue with me about my nails being real, it's like why would I bother lying. |

				   | Thanks for the kind comments..I use only two products. I use a human shampoo called VO5 regular , which is about .99 cents at Walmart, and I use a product from Solid Gold called Jojoba Oil Hair and Skin Conditioner , Amazon and other places. It is a concentrate, and I use it as a conditioner. I rinse with distilled water. Actually learned this from a guy who shows his yorkies, and has been for years. The real trick is to rinse, rinse, rinse ! Left in soap kills the silk on a coat, and will not allow it to shine.

				   | Your baby is beautiful. I love seeing the lighter ones. Wish Uni's hair would get that long. Toto's hair is very nice but he gets pee on it, so we shaved his body and kept his head, tail, and legs long.

I have only had one person tell me I should cut my boys' hair, an idiot. Everyone else says nice or funny things.

				   | I always find it odd how some people feel they are entitled to share their unsolicited opinions... Anyway, most comments which are rude are normally from ignorant people and do their comments matter at all? I think, no! Ignoring people works wonders...I'm in a permanent state of "head in the clouds" because I ignore most of the world all of the time..lol |

				   | I may be one of those people with that opinion that a dog will need a haircut when it's not properly maintained. For yorkies, the look is beautiful but its a lot of work and when the dog looks mangy dirty, matted etc. Someone may say that. But that's not the case with you.
