What an adorable teddy bear your baby is. He looks so sweet and gentle. His ears look great up or down. My 2yo Bailey's ears were first up and then both were down when he was a pup. Now one is up and the other one down. Extra personality I say

I didn't tap them or shave them either.

I don't have any experience with silkies, but he looks yorkie to me! Really cute, too.

Your Mickey is so cute Dudley's mom !! Do you know at what age puppies stop growing ? And sorry for your Dudley's loss :/

Thanks JuliannaB ! Yes he is like a teddy bear and makes a nice pillow too lol . He is sweet but super energetic!! And yes i agree yorkies are adorable anyway

. Yes I have heard some yorkies just have one ear up and my maxs right ears is up higher than the left so that might be my case too lol

Did you name him Maximus before or after you got him....?!!!?

Just to say - when we got our Harry at 12 weeks old - he weighed 10lbs....but he's a purebred, 100% 'British' Yorkshire Terrier...he might be out of standard, but sooooo much easier not to step on/squash/drop....and that suited us right down to the ground!!!

Oh, and I tried so hard to make Harry's ears stand up - but he wasn't having any of it....he's a great big flopper in every which way

My husband named him lol . Oh wow !!! Yes I believe my boy Will be a big one too !! And yes it's good for us that we is big because he loves to play with my son so when he is full grown like you said he won't get stepped on lol I eventually want a small yorkie but I think I will waut til my son is older so he won't get injured . Yes my max will be a flopper I believe lol. Can you showme a picture of your doggie?

Although I don't profess to be a dog trainer, nor breeder, I do believe that they stop growing at about one year. Perhaps some of the wonderful experts on here could confirm my thoughts, or set me straight on this
As your sweet Harry, my Bailey had boundless energy and always wanting to play. I think that's what a puppy is all about, not just in Yorkies. At times it was overwhelming for me, but with help I made it through. Now he loves to play, but chilling at times as well.
Every day is still like Christmas to see him. We are so lucky to have such a handsome and lovely dog

Although I wished for a yorkie to weight 5 lbs, due to muscles issues I have, he has grown to 8 lbs. All said and done, I am thankful for his extra few pounds, as he is no longer a threat of being kicked. Having said that, I did kick him (by accident of course) the first 1/2 hour of having him

I felt so bad about that, but he was just so quick to get in my way. Haven't done that since... thankfully!

About 10 years ago, my husband took me to get my dream puppy and we came home with two

Now we have seven, ranging in size 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 15, 17. It takes 15 minutes to write this message as I have to pet each one as they step off the bed onto my desk for lovies. I love them all so much. My lastest is the smallest, he was a rescue I got a little over a month ago and he is so precious. He is sort of a little meanie, so I am trying to work that out of him. I do have one suggestion, I have 3 1/2 ears down, watch them carefully as they are more likely to get infected. If you catch it early, a squirt of ear med can get rid of it in a day. But they do pop up as they grow. I have also heard they are 1/2 their adult weight by age 8 weeks, it is only an estimate. Have fun with Maximus, with kids, it is probably better to have the guy a little larger for practice, the smaller they are the more delicate. Then you have to get stairs for everything you want him/her on. Also, neuter by 6 months, it keeps them from marking.

He is so cute! I have a big 17 pounder with floppy ears too. I think she is the perfect size for me. A lot of people have asked me where they can get a bigger yorkie like her. I can't imagine my life without her.

and yes his energy does become a bit overwhelming specially when my son is super energetic. Aswell . Sometimes I just want to cuddle with him but he just wants to run lol. And yes we had a few accident is those ourselves when we just got him . And I'm so happy that you enjoy your pup so much!!!!!
