Senior Yorkie Talker | teeth extraction costs? So curiosity has gotten the best of me and I'm wondering if I can get honeys baby teeth removed when I get her spayed to avoid doing anesthesia on 2 separate occasions? And also how much did it cost to have them removed Thanks in advance nakiah

| It varies on the clinic/vet. My vet says my girl will most likely not need to have hers removed since she says they usually do so on their own, but will check them at the time of surgery to see if she needs it.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks hun...I'm hoping that they will come out on their own but I don't know if that's just wishful thinking? I've read a lot about how yorkies almost always need it done

| You definitely can. I work as a veterinarian assistant and we always recommend removing any retained baby teeth so they don't have to go under anesthesia twice. I think we charge about $5 a tooth but I'm sure it varies depending on where you live.

| My vet pulled the baby teeth and did a mini cleaning for free, if she had needed an antibiotic it would have been $35, but she didn't need it. I think she had about 5 teeth pulled. I paid $400-500 for the bloodwork, spay, microchip, and pain meds though. I could have gotten it done cheaper, but I trust my vet and it was worth paying more for him. |

| Yes a lot of people do that. The price depends a lot on your location and your vet.

| Remy was neutered about 2 weeks ago. They had to pull 4 teeth and they were $18 a tooth. So yes, it does depend on where you live. His bill was about $330 but I also had them express his anal glands and remove the hair out of his ears while he was under. I've been going to this vet for 10 yrs with my other 2 boys that have passed and my cat. He is very knowledgeable with yorkies. He knew I was so worried with Remy being little but he did put me at ease.

| Hey, I live in Buffalo too. Only it's in Ohio, not New York.

| Ours is ~28/tooth. We are in the Atlanta. This cost may vary by location and the actual vet. I've seen cheaper.
