| Question about strollers because Maggie likes to stand... We are hoping to take Maggie (11 pounds) to Myrtle Beach this fall. I have never had her in a stroller (she is 4) but she is good in her car seat (snoozer) and has been in shopping carts, which do seem to make her a bit nervous. but she tolerates them. We hope that by using the stroller we will be able to walk around longer and maybe take her into some of the non-food shops. We think she would be happier in the stroller next to us while we dine at some of the restaurants with outdoor seating (supposedly several of them will allow the dogs outside.) I really prefer to eat without her on my lap! I want to get a cheap one since we may never use it again (unless it goes great and becomes an annual event!) I like this one at Petsmart Top Paw Pet Stroller | Strollers | PetSmart due to the price ($80 after online discount) and the way the front/top seems to open. I am hoping that she will be able to stand on her hind legs with her front legs on the front rim, like she does to look out the car window from her snoozer. Does anybody know if she will be able to do that in this type of stroller? There are some cheap strollers on ebay (OxGord brand?) but if it needs to be returned that can be expensive. I am hoping the wheels on the TopPaw one aren't too rickety. I know she will be less stressed if it is a smooth ride. Thanks for any suggestions... |

| We have this one. Amazon.com : Pet Gear Happy Trails No Zip Pet... I like that it doesn't have a zipper. We used it to contain Gracie while she recovered from LP surgery and now we use it to give Millie a rest from Gracie. |

| I have the cheap one from ebay that comes in tons of colors and I've seen the petsmart one in person. The ebay one is a bit bigger and sturdier, I like it much more. My 7lb Lola stands on it with no problems. I put a cheap dog bed in the bottom, fold down the front screen, and use a throw blanket partly bunched for her to lay on and partly covering the edges. The only problem is it doesn't have a tether so you'll need to make one. It rides smoothly too. |

| Best Pet Swanky Pet Stroller Check out the Best Pet Swanky pet stroller on Amazon. I purchased this for my Yorky and she loves it. It's well-made and the price is reasonable. Quote:

| I always buy this one...have it in different colors. I have used the same stroller from Best Pet for many years and have been very happy. They are roomy and sturdy and very inexpensive! Large 4 Wheels Pet Dog Cat Stroller 18 Color Choices with Free Rain Cover 400 | eBay Just be careful when you select a color....sometimes the item changes to a three wheel stroller. I much prefer the four wheels! There are other sellers on Ebay with this same stroller. To search for them use these terms: pet stroller rain

| This is the one I have and I love it! New Flexible Handle Large Black Beige Blue Pink Pet Dog Cat Stroller Carrier | eBay it might be a little big though it can hold both 17 pound yorkies. It has tethers inside you can clip to the harness so they can not jump out and it's very sturdy. This link says they only have blue but in there store they list them separately.

| Great! 2 quick questions... Does anybody know the difference between the 2 ebay strollers suggested. They are both best-pet. Maybe they will have a website I can look at. They are both cheaper than petsmart and probably at least as good. However, if she hates it I am stuck with the hassle of return. They als will probably not take it back if it is slightly used, whereas petsmart has been good about taking anything I wanted to return. I wanted to clarify what I meant by "stand". I guess I meant lean. She will want to have her back feet in the stroller "bed" and her front feet up on the lip. I wondered whether that front edge would collapse down if she out her feet up on it. The one in petsmart seemed ok, but that was just me pushing on it as she wasn't there with me. It is important that she is tethered in! Thanks for your replies. You guys are great and full of knowledge. I will be checking those other possibilities out. |

I have the stroller LadyJane posted. I think the main differences between the 2 ebay strollers are the one I have is a bit smaller, you can't switch the handle position, and there's mesh in the back (necessary for Lola, she likes to be able to see me). Here's a link with pictures of the back of the larger stroller New Flexible Handle Large Pink Pet Dog Cat Stroller Carrier | eBay Could you take her to petsmart and push her around in a cart? I think that would give you an idea of how she'll do in the stroller. | |

| Thanks showgirl! I was thinking the same thing about the reversible part being the difference. I am glad you told me she can see you in the non-reversible one because that was important for me as well, and I couldn't find a photo of that side of it. I read a review on amazon mentioning the zipper and the wheel assembly being a little flimsy. I am thinking the zipper and wheel assembly might be more cheaply made on the reversible one. I suppose there is more to break on that handle system as well. Sometimes less is better. I am glad you mentioned she can stand on it. I think I will go for it. If it doesn't work out it won't be the first $ I wasted. She has been in a shopping cart and was ok, but didn't love it. The stroller in petsmart wasn't assembled, I just looked at the mAin body of it. Thanks again! |

| I have heard of people saying the wheels and zipper broke on the stroller I have, but I've been using mine steadily for a year without a problem. It really is very useful to have, it keeps her from getting stepped on, off hot pavement, and gives her more space (and less body heat) than being carried. Lola loves being in it too, if I bring it in the house she begs to get in. It took some training to get her used to being zipped in though. If it broke I might invest in a better one, since I use it a lot, but it really is a good stroller. The only people I'd say it's a bad stroller for are people who jog. Here's a picture of the back New Classic Fashion BestPet 4 Wheel Blue Pet Dog Cat Stroller w Free Raincover | eBay With the bed and blanket in the bottom Lola is lifted up enough to lay down and press her face against the mesh lol. This is the bed I put in the bottom, to give you an idea, I got it very cheap last year with a sale and coupon. Grreat Choice® Plush Bolster Mat Dog Bed | Beds | PetSmart |
