Introducing myself I've been reading yorkietalk for 4 years, ever since we got our Gracie. I decided to finally post an intro because after MUCH debating and research, we bred her in August. The vet confirmed today that she is pregnant. I do have the breeder to assist me, along with my vet, but just in case, I thought it wouldn't hurt to introduce myself here and make some friends 😊

You have already judged and found me unworthy to breed based on that info? I'm sorry but you need not post your negative comments. No wonder people don't like this forum.

| Any one can post anything as long as it follows the rules and very few people are truly worthy to breed and a lot goes into it. If you are part of The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America and following all their rules then I will certainly apologize. I am very passionate about proper breeding. I have had to look into the eyes of a suffering dog from bad breeding that had no idea what was going on. There is a lot that goes into it like not breeding a female under 5 pounds or it could kill her, breeding a dog that is a perfect example of the breed, know many many generations of the dog, having NO health issues in the lines, knowing the size of the puppies the lines throw, going to specialist to have knees, eyes and so on, doing any genetic blood testing that is available, making sure you know every single little sign of distress, realizing that no matter how experienced you help is that you could still loose you female and or the puppies, being prepared financially for emergency care, being prepared to feed and potty the puppies every 2 hours if the female requires a c section and rejects the puppies, keeping the puppies until 12 weeks at a minimum and longer if you get a very tiny one, and them being AKC registered. There is more that’s just some of it. Very few people do all of that even some show breeders cut those corners. By the many many like this forum and it has helped many people. Since you say you have been reading posts for a couple of years you should no all of this.

I agree with Lovetodeam88 about the breeding process, that should be left up to the experts. Breeding to better the breed not to just produce puppies for sale. Anyone can post to any thread as long as they stay in the YT rules guide lines, you cannot tell ppl what to post and to not post. And if ppl do not like this community it is because they do not want to hear the truth. I pray for the sake of your sweet little girl that she has a smooth and safe whelping and healthy chubby babies.

People are rude on this forum, and that's why others don't like posting here. It's very evident. Anyone can be an animal advocate, but how about treating others decently? I've seen multiple posts from Taylor that are judgmental and holier-than-thou. But if someone were to treat her posts the way she responds to others, she would probably cry. You can defend her all you like, but if I had a predisposed attitude to her response, it was based on my prior observations of her comments.

I interpret her comment of "sad" the way I do. My thoughts, feelings, past experiences color this. It was an ambiguous comment by itself. but still judging. Because she was expressing her opinion on something, or "judging" it. If she'd like to clarify that she wasn't commenting in a nasty way or negatively, I've yet to hear it from her post. If anything she reinforced it by listing what people should/should not do in breeding and implied that I was breeding incorrectly and "skipping steps." Are you still going to defend her? After I correctly inferred her comment and she supported it?? Okay then. Your decision.
