| My poor poor pitiful baby!! I had to bring my boys in for blood work, their senior panel that will also be the blood work for their dentals next week. The tech took Fletch, he was going along happily until he realized I was not with him and they had to pick him up, he sat and tried to turn around, but when he came out, he was all wagging and happy, just fine. Dex on the other hand... ooh this poor pitiful baby! They carried him away because I told them he would never walk away from me. Well he comes back with a bandage on his leg. I asked why Dex had one and not Fletch. Get this.... His blood pressure was SO high that he started bruising immediately, so they had to put a compression bandage on his leg after they were done. This is ALL because he was not with me. LOL My poor boy! You would swear I gave birth to this dog. He is such a momma's boy, it's really pitiful. LOL I just adore him though! Daddy said he's just fine at home with him now.

| AWWW! Sweet Momma's Boy. I swear I should have named Piccolo "Tick" he stays attached to me from the moment I get home from work, until I put him to bed. If I leave him in while I go outside. He stays at the door and sounds like he is screaming mom until I come back in.

| Poor Dex! Teddy can relate. He doesn't like to be away from his humans. I never thought of blood pressure from stress affecting the draw. Teddy had his blood drawn in front of me once. When the techs left the room, I saw blood dripping out of his arm and down my leg. I had to call them back into the room. They thought I would be worried about his hair being blood soaked. No! I wonder if it was because he was nervous.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Oh poor Dex. I hate that we can't explain to them what is going on and reassure them that it will be ok. Scarlett can't stand the vet's office either. Poor thing turns in to a stone in the waiting room and then gains about 100 pounds while we try to drag her to the exam room.

| Just for his health's sake if for no other, I believe if that were my dog experiencing that amount of angst, stress/anxiety and HBP, I might train him how to be separated from me and remain calm, just for his own health's sake and well being. Are they certain the HBP was from separation anxiety and not systemic? What if you and your husband both had to be away at the same time - what would he go through? Poor baby, he sounds very stressed by your being away from him or was scared of the vet's office. I hope things get better for this little guy.
