Just for his health's sake if for no other, I believe if that were my dog experiencing that amount of angst, stress/anxiety and HBP, I might train him how to be separated from me and remain calm, just for his own health's sake and well being. Are they certain the HBP was from separation anxiety and not systemic? What if you and your husband both had to be away at the same time - what would he go through? Poor baby, he sounds very stressed by your being away from him or was scared of the vet's office. I hope things get better for this little guy.
