| Bowls Ok right now Callie has a small dog dish holder in the kitchen well more where the table is and it holds two small stainless steal bowls. She rarely eats food from that one but Sammy does. She prefers to eat from a small one in the living room where people are. So the small is great for the food I just put a tiny amount in there but I think the small bowl for water is to small especially when Sammy is over so I am thinking of getting individual dishes small for the food and a medium one for water. What do y'all like better glass, stainless steel, or plastic? Is there a bowl you suggest or really like? I was looking at the ones at Petco that are plastic and you put either glass or stainless steal in it and I was looking at stainless steal bowls that the whole thing is pink. I always thought stainless steal kept water cooler is that true?

| I use Pyrex custard bowls for water and they keep the water cool. I fill them with refrigerated filtered water from the Brita. Max has an aversion to plastic, except water bottles when we are out and about. Stainless steel, he doesn't like the reflection. Really depends on the individual dog. If eating directly from plastic, make sure the plastic does not scratch. I believe the scratches can harbor bacteria.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I like the ceramic or glass bowls. . . I don't like the metal because they always start to rust and I do not like plastic.

| I'm not a fan of plastic either. I am really leaning toward glass.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I LOVE using white glass tart bowls for my littles - they are the perfect size for yorkies and are low to the ground. They're about 1.99 from World Market, or you can find them anywhere.

| I converted to mostly glass a long time ago. Plastic = bacteria. Stainless = pitting/rust. Ceramic from a major pet store chain = weird smell after months that would not come out with bleach (thank you China). Glass = clean, sanitary, USA. We generally use Pyrex. They have tons to choose from. We sometimes share these with the pups. Lazy day = paper plates or paper towels for kibble (or, cough, the floor).

| Callie has licked or eaten off of our plates before my grandpa hates me but me and my grandma are like the dishwasher sanitizes it.

| We're using the pyrex custard bowls & I ALWAYS kick them bc it's clear! I can't see it & 4get that it's there...but TG they don't break. I leave it so Momo can lick them all clean, it's better than him licking the leather couch. He has major OCD issues. For travel, we use the Bella stainless steel bowls.
