I converted to mostly glass a long time ago.

Plastic = bacteria.
Stainless = pitting/rust.
Ceramic from a major pet store chain = weird smell after months that would not come out with bleach (thank you China).

Glass = clean, sanitary, USA. We generally use Pyrex. They have tons to choose from. We sometimes share these with the pups.

Lazy day = paper plates or paper towels for kibble (or, cough, the floor).
