| Dog seat Does anyone use the car seats made for small dogs in the front seat. I put one in and someone told me they are dangerous because of the front seat air bags. So I rigged it to fit in the back seat just so I wasn't worrying all the time. Any feed back??? Thank you, Diane and Oscar |

| Some people do use doggy seats in the front seat, but they disarm the passenger airbag. Other people have said that their cars are designed to not deploy the airbag unless there is a certain weight in the seat (a weight greater than the dog seat plus the dog). My car does not have these capabilities, plus I have side impact airbags that come out of the sides of the front seats. I've had one of those deploy and it is scary! Therefore, I keep my doggy seat in the back.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I agree with Kristin. If you can not disable the airbags I would keep the seat in the back

| I have a doggy seat in my front seat but as Kristin meantioned my airbag's are designed not to deploy unless there's a certain amount of weight in the seat and the switch is disabled. To be honest, I wish I had not done this from the beginning and although Yazimin's buckled, I worry she'll be injured if my windshield were to shatter. I need to retrain Yazmin that riding in the back seat is okay! |
