Yorkie Yakker | ![]() I used to be one of those close minded people until I met my good friend Diane's two yorkies, and my moms friend Becky's Chihuahua mixes. Then my cousin got a couple cavaliers and they were super sweet dogs ...well they had puppies and I begged my hubby so we could get one. She stole our hearts! Then Becky had a Chihuahua that needed a home, so we rescued him.we never looked back he's a sweetheart! Then Diane had to put one of her two old yorkies down and we were all broken hearted ...she found an ad for yorkie puppies and me, Diane, my moms other friend Tonya, and my mom all got a yorkie puppy.the lady had rescued the entire litter and momma from a bad neglect case and all she wanted was to keep the momma dog.well our dogs are 5 year old male chihauhua, 4 year old cavalier, and a 9 month old yorkie! We love them to death they all sleep in bed with us every night. But ....mike always wanted a big lab ...a mans dog! I always wanted a Rottweiler or pit...till we got our fur babies! We wouldn't have it any other way now!

| ![]() Who cares what others say about Yorkies. They are probably not anyone I would associate with anyway.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Firstly I'm a man and Crystal has been my friend and companion now for 6 months in which time we have become very close. When the two of us are alone she never leaves me, literally staying within touching distance all day. I'm in my late sixties and wanted the dimension of a companion, particularly when my wife's at work or away visiting her family in Russia. I am increasingly amazed just how intelligent and empathetic these little creatures are. I've had a few health setbacks since June and was aware something was probably going to change sometime soon. Her empathy and love throughout has been therapeutic, supportive and sympathetic. This tiny soul really does know what's going on, of that I'm sure. Just once in her period with us she has been poorly and I felt honoured in returning her love and trust by aiding her full recovery, with the help and support I received here. I think they are seen as particularly effeminate in the UK, along with miniature Poodles but I don't care, their history is redolent with bravery and fearless tenacity - witness their dauntless character. I love my little Yorkie and walking her is my selfish pleasure. She has made so many admirers on our little sojourns that I know she's truly special. I belatedly learnt today that eventually I may have to get around in a wheel chair and I know she'll still be proud of her Dad. I only hope I pass on before she does, as I'd hate to be in a world where she's not. |

| ![]() I don't think anything is wrong with Yorkies, but a lot of people complain because some of them tend to be yappy. My girl is very yappy. There are some people who just prefer larger dogs. Then you have some people who are jealous because they know the breed is expensive to purchase. There is nothing wrong with dressing up your dog. I still dress my girls up sometimes. Ironically my yorkie hates clothes but my bichon loves to look like a diva. I think Yorkies are one of the best breeds along with Bichons of course! |

| ![]() It is nice to see a male that is a Yorkie fan. Personally my son loves them too. He complained when I got my bichon, Kirby because he didn't want a sissy dog. Well Khloe has never been a sissy dog. She is spicy, fearless and a true watchdog. My son loves her and even comments that she is no sissy dog. |
