| How to stop matting when wearing clothes? It is that time of year when I have to wear a coat/sweater to take Bella out. Here lies the problem: She is a matted mess when I take it off. Any ideas, she loves getting combed (using a pin comb) but now she is not liking it so much. It takes me about a half hour to work out all the twisted hair. She is on the long side and I hate to cut it down. Thanks all!!!

YT 2000 Club Member | If she has long hair, it is bound to get matted with clothes, especially with sweaters. With the dry air, sweaters can cause static which will tangle the hair even more. I would try a sleeveless coat that is roomy. A little coconut oil or a good detangler will help with the mattes. Tatiana wears clothes almost all the time. I keep her hair shorter....not shaved. She gets very few mattes!

| A while ago, someone had suggested a silk shirt or body suit to wear underneath clothes. Has anyone tried such a thing or does anyone know where you could get a silk undershirt?? |

| I was thinking a satin lining to the sweaters, with the addition of the salon products may help. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | There's lots of theories on controlling static. Here's one of the threads I found: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-products.html When Tuffy used to ride on the semi truck he'd be in & out whenever we stopped. I tried the dryer sheet trick & it DID seem to help.

I keep meaning to look for one for ZoE (who is much bigger) to wear under her winter clothes. Thankfully, ZoE's hair is silky, so she doesn't mat much but it would still be great to not have to spend as much time brushing her out.

We have so many talented seamstresses on YT, I would think that one of them might be able to make something up.
