My Aunt brought me a pair of real silk pajamas home from her holiday for my last yorkie, Chelsea. I used the pajama top under lots of sweaters with great success. So maybe try looking for silk pjs?
I keep meaning to look for one for ZoE (who is much bigger) to wear under her winter clothes. Thankfully, ZoE's hair is silky, so she doesn't mat much but it would still be great to not have to spend as much time brushing her out.
