Sigh....I wish Ricky was more excited to wear clothes. Every time he sees his buddy belt, his clothes or a brush, he goes and hides underneath the coffee table or in the cat pyramid. He doesn't seem to mind them once they are on...but it's the getting them on and off that he hates. IDK why he doesn't like them more because he sure does get chilly easy!! | |

My boys don't wear collars, I don't trust them (ha, the boys or the collars!) and we take off any clothes if we're leaving the house. We leave them in x-pens when we're gone...

My Libby runs on the cold side so she always has clothes on except for summer when it's really hot. I always make sure the clothes are not too loose where her arm can get stuck etc. When I leave they are always gated in the laundry room and they pretty much sleep when we're gone.

I am wondering if there is some kind of heating pad that would be safe to use while gone. I don't think I'd want to leave one plugged in...but maybe a battery operated one...or something you could warm up in the microwave. I thought about getting hand warmers and making pockets in Ricky's coat for them to help keep him warm. Maybe I could make a handwarmer blanket. I know the disposable ones could get pricey if you are using them all of the time though. I'd feel much better about leaving Ricky naked if he had a heating blanket of sorts to cuddle up on.

Coco is never left home alone except for when we go to church or to buy groceries. I have been fortunate to not have to work for many years and DH was able to retire early so this is why she is never alone for very long. I'm pretty sure Coco never wore clothes from her previous owner because the first time I put a dress on her she just stood there and looked at me and would not move at all. It was really quite funny. We have only had her a short time but she never wears clothes at home, only when we go places. She does wear jammies at night when it's cold but here in Texas it's warm longer than it is cold. She loves her jammies. No collars worn here only harnesses and that is only when I take her outside for a walk or go potty. So, I guess you could say she runs around in the "buff" here
