Even with a full coat yorkies have no under coats so they get colder faster and more easily then dogs with under coats. Proper fitting clothes don't twist around like that. Callie has worn clothes sense day one and in 6 and 1/2 years never have we had any issues unless the shirt was to big or it had back legs. My yorkie who is 17 pounds has to have clothes on unless she is outside in the summer time or she shakes she gets so cold and when she gets cold like that she completely shuts down and does not function well. My moms yorkie who is very much a dog rolls around and gets into tight spots with his clothes but never had has any issues because they fit him properly.
