| Do you leave clothes/collars on your dogs unattended?!? Hello, Do you leave clothes or collars on your furbabies when you aren't home?? I used to take all clothes and collars off Prince when I left. I did it so he didn't get hung up on anything and hurt himself as I've actually heard of dogs choking themselves with their collars. I especially did this when I would crate him. Since I've gotten Ricky, I started leaving their collars on...and now that it is cold out, Ricky pretty much has clothes on him 24/7 because he's cold...but the other day, I came home and Ricky's back legs had came out of his jammies. Of course, I started thinking about the hazards and if he would have gotten the jammies caught on something....but I also feel bad leaving him naked and cold. My house is set at 72 and while he isn't shivering, he doesn't move around as much as he did this summer. He prefers to stay cuddled up on a warm blanket....even with clothes on. So, I am wondering what others do with their dogs who typically wear clothes and/or collars. Do you take it off them when you are gone, or do you leave it on?? My boys aren't kept in crates while I am gone. They currently have free reign over the living room and kitchen |

| Callie is never left alone but I have her collar where it is big enough to slip over her head if she gets caught on something. I would never leave her in something with back legs though because they come out very easy and can cause a problem but a good fitting shirt is fine in my opinion.

YT 1000 Club Member | Mine wear Collars 24/7, well fitted where they won't slip off or choke, and only for their ID, EID and Rab Tabs. When we go out, it's harness'. I've taken the time both inside and outside, to eliminate ALL the possible areas/things where they could get hung up on.

| All of our dogs are in crates or xpen when we leave. The 2 girls are dressed everyday. I don't get to run around naked in the house neither do they. When they are puppys I do take their hairbows out so they cannt rub them and pop them out and then chew on them. |

| I don't leave clothes on her when I'm not around because she likes to roll around in them and usually ends up getting them twisted with one of her legs trapped on the inside. I would be devastated if I came home and found her like that not knowing how long she was stuck!! I haven't reserved myself to putting a collar on her yet. |

| ZoE wears clothes (hoodies or sweaters) in the winter when I'm gone, as I turn down my house heat pretty low.

| No, I never leave clothes on Gracie while I'm gone. I make sure she has plenty of warm places to cuddle up. If there are no people around there is always a cat that she can cuddle up with if she gets cold but she has access to the bed and it has her cuddle bed and other warm places to cuddle in. These little ones can get into trouble so quickly and easily I just would not take a chance. A shirt or pajamas could get caught on something like a toenail or they could get partway out and not be able to get the rest of the way out. I don't want to come home to that. |

| When we leave Buster I never leave him in clothes or a collar. He does though have lots of blankets around to snuggle in if he gets cold. I never leave him unattended in a collar. My friend was having a play date for her larger dog and a friends dog. While they were enjoying coffee the dogs romped in the back yard. They came out later to find Contessa dead, with the other dogs tooth caught in Contessa's collar. So very sad.

| I never put collars on mine....I always recommend to new owners of my babies, cat break away collars if they insist on using collars to hang tags from. Of course, harnesses are for leash walking. I never leave clothes on them either....I have come home to front legs out of sleeves and caught up inside the outfit, and my poor baby rolling around like a seal or walrus across the floor....I felt so bad about that, I cried, and never did it again.... I have had dogs work to get collars off and they end up with the collar stuck in pup's mouth, like a bit on a horse's head gear....thank God the dog didnt suffer any broken teeth or mouth injuries..... No, I never leave them with anything on or dressed in anything. |

| I do leave sweaters & flannel nightgowns on my little girl as she chills so easily! She never wears clothes with back legs in them though. |

| She has her own cuddle sac on my bed that she has access to if she were to get cold. We do heat our home. Even a t-shirt can get twisted around the neck of a dog that is left to itself long enough. Her safety is much more important to me. I am not worried about her getting cold. She is always in full coat by the time winter gets here and she knows all the best places to take a warm nap. |

| Mine wear clothes 24/7... Every day, all year long. I wear clothes all day and night! Lol! I'm very cold natured and I always think they must freeze to in their tiny little bodies! I leave collars on my boys with if tags, but my 2 pounder always tried to get hers off and she'd get it stuck in her mouth so she does not wear one at all anymore. I just make sure their clothes fit well. They have worn them since they were babies and they never try to get out of them. Heck, all I have to do is hold their shirts and they stick their arms and legs in the holes... It's pretty funny!
