Good to hear. As much as I hated seeing Cookie groggy yesterday and with those stitches that will keep her from being her usual running and jumping self, I know we're both doing the right thing. I'll leave the breeding to experts like our breeder Deb.

Yep, I never had any intention of breeding, my wife bred her Yorkies back in the mid 80's, but Gina is my pet and when done with her training she'll be my service dog as well.

Wish you guys nothing but the best. Getting our babies spayed is definitely the right thing to do, even though it'll surely be a bit tough 10 days-2 weeks for all of us.

Cookie was really hungry this morning. I have started her off with a very small breakfast to see if she can keep it down, and she wolfed it and then started licking the bowl. I mean it looks clean enough for me to put my milk and cereal in now for breakfast. She is back to being night-night girl after breakfast though. I guess she'll sleep pretty a lot for the next day or two before she starts bouncing off the walls like her normal self, haha.

Glad to hear it...you made me laugh.....
Had a long talk with the vet again before I let her go....getting a lot of info from the people who know about these things and have been thru it, God bless you all I knew the right questions to ask but my vet was one step,ahead of me and had all the bases covered especially blood tests.....

So with fur baby and her favorite little long legged soft , pink snuggle bunny buddy tucked in her soft security blankee ....I handed her over to her kind vet and left.....

Won't see her till 4:00 ...That's worse than driving to town for a long day at the grocery store and I hate that!

And thanks for the well wishes all....I can use it....

Oooh... 4:00. I got lucky and could pick my girl up at 11:30 after an 8:00AM spay. I guess there are worse places your pup could be than right there with the vet though after surgery.

Cookie looks normal walking again, and I can tell she wants another meal pretty badly. She just went over to lick her bowl again. I just want to give it another hour and a half to see if she'll hold her breakfast down that she got 2.5 hours ago. I think she will this time. I have been checking her gums every couple of hours to make sure they look good. Still nice and pink, so I'm not too worried about her having not eaten a whole lot since 9PM Sunday night. At 11:00AM I'll give her a really nice lunch though.

Wishing you and your little girl well. I'm sure that all will go fine with your little girl, especially that you are soooo attentive, as the others before you in this thread. They do make us worry though, as we all want the best for them. My Bailey was fixed the first day he was able to be, which was the first day of Summer last year. He was bumping into things with the 'cone of silence' on, but soon got used to his limitations. The 10 day wait to have the cone off seemed to be long, as I watched his every move. I can't believe that it was already a year+ ago. My time passes quickly!! All the best during recovery

It'll be 4:00 before you know it, and hope she has a speedy recovery as well, and thanks for the well wishes.

Cookie didn't throw up her breakfast, so I just gave her a normal sized lunch, which she really scarfed down. She was really hungry from not having a normal sized meal since Sunday.

She is still resting a lot. I wonder how much of that is pain, how much is still being stoned off the anesthesia, and how much is low energy level from not being able to eat much.

Thanks Quad. Yesterday was kind of a rough day but she looks so great today!

Cook has been hanging out in her crate a lot today. She has kept down her 7AM breakfast and then a large 11AM lunch, and she looks great, though still pretty tired. I bet in a day or two she going to want to be shaking her chew toys to death again and asking out every 5 minutes.
