I think the man who smacked Max on the head was slightly intoxicated (we were walking in front of restaurants, where he came from). The strangest part was that he and his wife told me that they had a Yorkie. Wouldn't matter if they had a large dog. No dog would consider a smack like that as petting.

| ![]() I am really funny with mine and kids especially. Since we moved to town we have several little neighborhood kids who love to come visit us and the furkids. I have a rule that absolutely noone holds Kyra unless I am sitting beside them holding on to her also. She would jump off a rooftop if she got excited enough over a squirrel or cat and not think of what it could do to her. I have one little girl here who really doesn't like me much as she continues to ignore me so I pick Kyra up and take her inside every time she comes over.

| ![]() My boyfrineds brothers girlfriend is a stranger to me, and although she is at our home entirely to much i still DONT KNOW HER! I told my boyfriend i did not want her interacting with my dog. well last night i came home and my dog was out of her room and in the room with them. i was furious to say the least. he thought i was over reacting, but i thought he was under reacting...i snatched my dog up so fast....He knows that she has taken our friends dog with out permission and i dont want her to even think about getting comfortable with Yoshi! |

| ![]() Love the quote. You are exactly right. I have had similar experiences but what really makes me made is a person with a huge aggressive dog who wants to let our dogs meet and smell each other. While saying "oh my dog want hurt them." I pick my dogs up and say well I'm not going to take that chance. Some of these nuts still try to seek us out at the park even after being told no!!! |

I hate it when people let their bigger dogs come up to sniff my little guys without even asking if it's ok. Maybe their dog isn't aggressive, but maybe mine are or maybe they are scared of all big dogs, even the nice ones. A lot of people either don't care or they just don't get it...but all it takes is one bite from a big dog and our little guys are gone...or if we are lucky, severely injured. Call me overprotective, but I have no interest in taking that chance with a strange dog who's behavior is unknown to me. Besides, it's not just for my protection, it's for theirs too. Lord help me if someone else's dog hurt my little guys..... | |

| ![]() I've gotten to the point I don't let any kids pet mine. Most adults don't want to pet them unless it's the ones that we know. If I see kids coming our way I pick them up, the kids are usually running at them and the running kids scare all of us. We were at the park last week when a group of kids (6-7 years old) came running over asking to walk them. You can guess my answer.
