Senior Yorkie Talker | Puppy Has A Stomach Virus Okay so my little guy has a stomach virus the breeder informed me about everything and I'm just curious on if I should still go thru with the sale or pick another puppy I really want him but I'm not sure if this means he will always be sick when getting older I need some advice please ... The breeder isn't going to give him to me until he's 100% better through it might take a little time if I should wait for him he losed a few ounces but he is gaining his weigh back which is a good sign |

| Oh Dear, this is sad. Have you checked the breeder out? Do you know what the "virus" is called? At least she is keeping him until well but I don't blame you for being nervous hon.

Senior Yorkie Talker | yea I know the know the breeder she is very honest & takes very good care of her pups I like her a lot she could of not even told me about him being ill or taking him to the animal hospital but she told me everything & told me all her concerns about him so it makes me feel a lot better doing business with her .. I'm not sure what the virus is once she took him to the vet they told her it might of been just an upset stomach & they ruled out the parvo so he doesn't have that but she just said he just isn't acting how she's use to him acting n she thinks it just might take a little while longer for him to come home until he seems like his self to her |

| Oh boy do I know where your coming from. 5 years ago when I was getting my Sheltie about 2 weeks before before I was to bring her home the Breeder called and told me the puppy had a number 1 heart murmur. (I was so scared) Now I had been waiting listing over 2 years and as soon as the pups were born we were third on the list to have the pick of the liter. We choose our her little girl. I had put down a deposit on her saw pictures of her the day she was born, then weekly and even the day she opened her eyes. My Breeder who I trusted said she would refund my money and that I could pick another pup at a later time. She also told me #1 murmurs for the most part heal themselves and that she thought the pup would be fine. But again it was my choice and the price was the same. Well the choice was to take her home. My husband and I went back and forth and decided because we waited so long it was like our child and if our child was sick wouldn't we still want and take her home. (Up date a year later after getting her our Sheltie. She had no signs of the heart murmur.) Our case was a little different than yours. But if you really want this pup, trust your breeder, have a health guarantee and can take the pup to your vet within a certain time to be checked after you bring him home. I would say to let the pup stay with breeder a little while longer to make sure he's fine and get rechecked by her vet. It sounds like your breeder is an honest person and has the pup's best interest at heart. It really is a hard choice. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I appreciate you telling me your story I think I'm going to stick with the puppy she just called me not to long ago & sent me pictures of him he looks good she just told me he's been doing a lot better he's keeping down all his meals (though he only threw up one time due to a upset stomach) they tested for parvo the test was ruled out so he doesn't have that thank god . She said he has been playing with his litter mates again which is a good sign of him getting back into it physically & he has a vet appoIntment on Friday so they will know for sure if he can come home or not hopefully he can but she still would like to keep him for another week or so just to make sure everything's okay which Iam not mad at what ever is best for my little guy is all I'm worried about . He had his little threw up esposide about 3 days ago so To here he's doing better is a great relief of comfort so I'm hoping everything goes well ..fingers crossed |
