| Burrying her food Bella has started burrying her food..and not in the ground obviously, because we have tiles lol, but she´ll take her kibble, push it into the folds of clothes, sheets, covers etc, and then with her nose, she "burries" it What´s that all about?? Does anyone elses yorkie do that? Also, their (Bella & Milos) food and water bowl is on a mat, and Bella will also try to cover the food with the mat underneath it.She pushes it up and over with her nose. Why would she do that? Is she trying to tell me she doesnt like the food? Is she "saving" it for later? I have no idea what to make of this at all |

| My Enzo does the same thing! He "hides" everything before he eats it! Well other than his snacks, I find chew bones & kibble in the weirdest spots! Then all of a sudden he'll be munching on something and Ill wonder, now where the heck did he find that! lol

| Zoey does that. Not always with her kibbles but anything she wants to save for later. At least Bella tries to "bury" it under something. Zoey does this with air which is really funny to look at. It's even funnier b/c after she finishes burying it, she'll sit at a certain distance and "guards" it. Which is a total giveaway. LOL |

| I believe this behavior is very common with Yorkies ... basically burying food with thin air :-) ... my previous Yorkie Zadie would do this with her treats, usually a greenie ... she'd go "hide" it .. usually in plain view on the living room rug and then "burry" it with her nose, she would sit a distance away and "guard it" as well :-)... if she was eating kibble on the bed she'd do a similar thing .. sometimes in plain view or in the folds of the sheets or blankets .... The burying things with thin air was always very entertaining to watch :-)

| Both Molly and Maggie do this with their kong treats and bully sticks. I have found treats in the folds of the sofa and in the seat of recliners (where the back and seat meet). It is too funny to see! Molly didn't do it till she was about 7 months old but Maggie is already doing it an she's only 14.5 weeks old. They are was too smart sometimes.

| Lily does that with her treats if she's saving them for later. I think she is hiding them from daddy cause she knows how much he loves his treats (tastycakes). She is making sure he doesn't take hers too - LOL

| Jess did the same thing when she was confined due to a broken leg. Would walk around the bowl pushing her nose to the ground and up and over it. I was ready to get a doggie pysch done on her because I thought she was developing ocd from being confined! As fast as it started it stopped. hasn't done it in months.. she also went through a period where she wouldnt drink water from a bowl, I had to hide it in her food. I think it was a control thing..now she would drink out of a toilet if she could reach it.. |

| Puff has never buried anything -until yesterday. I bought a moustache trimmer that I wanted to use for her face but it is way too noisy. I had it on the couch last night trying to get her to see that it wouldn't hurt her. As soon as she thought I wasn't looking she pushed it under a blanket with her nose, then fluffed the blanket up over it. Then she sat near it, watching me to see if I noticed. Every time I looked at her she'd make this "not me, I'm so innocent" face. I thought it was so smart and funny!

| My boys did this when I free fed them. I stopped free feeding and starting giving 1/4 cup 2x a day to each of them, now they eat their food! One time I was giving my boys small bites of plain bread, and they would run away to 'eat it' or so I thought... and then come back for more. I must have given them 4-5 small pieces each. That night I went to get into bed (which was upstairs from the kitchen), I pulled the comforter back and about 8 small pieces of bread went flying everywhere around my room! LOL Little sneaks!
