| ![]() Good for you. Just love that darling girl. I have a pure Yorkie, and 3 Morkies, and they are all priceless. Each turned out different than I expected, even the 2 little sisters, and I'm actually glad to have some variety.

| ![]() Thank you. Kyra is the dark one in my avatar. She stayed very tiny but also very dark and she is all yorkie. They really are all a little different.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() If the breeder said there's an "injection" of another breed I'd definitely think she was a mix and has something besides what makes a yorkie in her dna, but since the breeder is already giving you the $$$ back I wouldn't worry about DNA(since he/she pretty much already admitted she's a mix)unless it's for fun ![]() |

| ![]() I can tell you with Sophie Kate the destroying things came from boredom, when she was bored she chewed. I would suggest you get her some designated chew items like a Nyla bone and perhaps one of those dog puzzles. Potty training was a whole other issue for me, I strongly believe in crate training and starting the puppy on a strict schedule of outside potty time. When she does go outside you have a small scale celebration, cheering, good girls and very special "good girl" treat given only when she does the behavior you are trying to teach. Crate training is what I had the most success with that coupled with the schedule (you can search crate training on this site, lots of information). I strongly believe that a dog wants to please it owner, as the owner we need to set them up for success by giving them all the tools they need to please us.

| ![]() Leah is adorable!! And Yoyo is a cutie pie too! I had trouble potty training my girl too. She would be eating from her food bowl & then all of a sudden...stop, walk away a few steps, pee on the kitchen floor & then go right back to eating. ![]() Crate training really does help. Since they're confined in a small space, it's easier for them to learn to control their bladder. I feel bad for them when they're inside too. But most of them get over it quickly. And they learn to use their crate as a little den to when they need to get away. Mine are older, but they still use their crates. I just took the doors off. If she's being difficult, you could even try setting up a little pen in the laundry room. Btw, that "schanuzer injection" sounds bizarre. I would be afraid to ask her what in the world that even means! Lol Good luck with little Leah!!

| ![]() This is funny because I have a yorkie mix (who was supposed to be yorkiepoo but I believe is snorkie) and I have a full bred yorkie and my mix actually acts more like and fits more of the description of yorkies. My full bred is way more energetic and was harder to train than any other dog I've known. Different dogs just have different personalities. I wouldn't take that as a sign she is not a yorkie. Do not feel bad about the crate, a lot of dogs learn to actually like it, you can put a soft bed, some special toys and maybe hide a treat or 2 in there. Even 2 dogs from the same litter can be completely different, a lot of it is the training and love you give her now while she is still learning that will help determine what kind of dog she will be when she's older. I know a lot of great schnauzers! Here is a picture of my probable snorkie as a baby and a more recent.
