When to replace a pee pad

I've been super lucky with Gizmo, or maybe it's the treats he wants, but he's only had one poop accident, right next to the kitties litter box, and 2 pee accidents on the carpet. When he had his pee accidents, I used white vinegar and water mixed to get rid of the smell, and he hated it so much, that he's went on the pads ever since :-) can't remember where I read about the white vinegar/ water mx, whether it was on here or somewhere else. They really hate that smell though :-) he had both pee accidents in one day, last week. I have since bought the pad holders and he's doing amazing with not ripping them up now.

He did remove them from the holder though last night before bed, because I was laying down from back pain and my husband was on Gizmo duty :-( he had not given Gizmo his nightly fetch session, and Gizmo I think was just making a threat haha. After he had his fetch time, he has totally left it alone since.

As long as his schedule of activities stays the same, he is really great. If you don't keep to the schedule though he sure reminds you HAHAHAHA .

Thanks for the info. I might try those. I saw they have an "ultra" version in 30x36. Those might work for my 3. There are only 100 in a box though.

I use washables downstairs so guests don't see pads. For some reason, I've never had a problem with mine confusing a throw rug for a pad. I wash them in unscented detergent & baking soda...in hopes that they'll retain some of the pee odor that only the dogs can smell. Maybe that's why?? I get mine from T.Bumpkins. They're gorgeous & made really well. I've tried other washables, but T.Bumpkins are by far the best.
