| ![]() This is a very delayed reply but just in case someone finds it helpful... We didn't want to put a collar on Penny at first because we thought it would be too heavy for her -- she's 3 lbs. Penny started with a nylon collar and then changed to a 1/2" leather collar from Buddy Belts with two 3/4" tags. Penny seems fine with the weight of her collar and tags. We take off Penny's collar though if she has to wear her harness and leash. Too much leather -- she looks like a pint-sized gladiator ![]() |

| ![]() I have had collars on all my dogs with name tag address & phone #. My past 3, 2 were not dashes, but one can never swear to this. My 3rd was the DASHER, collar, name tag a must. My new adopted fellow also has one and came to me micro chipped. I am still getting to know him, have him 3 months, I know his inside (house) ways, not his outside ways, with all this snow he has not spent much time in the yard, when weather gets warmer I will learn and watch him like a hawk, name tags, micro chipped, with these lil cuties if found I doubt they would be returned, only ppl like us on YT that adore our lil furbutts, that know the pain of loosing a loved dog would go to the extreme to return to owner, Where I live so many dogs dash out of their house, for some reason they wind up by me, I get a leash and tie dog to post, if they have a tag I call owner, no ID I walk through my community knocking on doors, ask, do you know who owns this dog, I do find the owner. Collars are attractive but serve an important purpose. Collar with ID A MUST

| ![]() I don't use a collar, I prefer the harness. And she has an ID tag on her harness. The only thing with a harness is she gets knots like crazy and the only time she wears it is when we go outside or for walks. |

| ![]() I don't ever use a collar on mine because for one Laddy has some small problems with his trachea already and Kyra is so small. I put their tags on their harnesses when out and their clothes when at home. I pin them to their clothes that way if they get out they always have them on.

| ![]() Pippin is finally big enough that she can't get to her tags to chew on them on her collar. Tried when I first brought her home at 14 wks off and on until two weeks ago-she can't reach them now. I wanted her to wear them for her IDs and the harness for walks. It took awhile and now she is comfortable wearing both. |
