| ![]() Hello. I was excited to see that there is a forum designed to answer questions about this remarkable breed. We are new Yorkie owners as well. Diva is 5 months old and we have had her since she was 3 months. She adapted to our home and family so quickly. It didn't take more than a few days before we realized that she was definitely the boss. 😎 we have older children and my husband after listening to me whine for a Yorkie baby finally gave in. He was reluctant because he has never liked small dogs. Of course he is now completely head over heels. She is so smart and full of personality. I look forward to learning from you all and sharing your Yorkie moments. Sharon ![]() |

| ![]() Welcome to YT. Congrats on your new baby. I find most who say they don't like small dogs haven't met a Yorkie.

| ![]() Thank you all for the wonderful welcomes!! I do have aquestion?? Are any of your babies little sharks?? Diva puts everything in her mouth!! She has had diarrhea for 2 days and started having blood in it today. I took her to her vet and they said she looked great and she hasn't lost her appetite or playful or bossy demeanor. When we got home from the vet she started dragging her butt across the floor (which she has been doing today a lot) and then she had one more diarrhea which she struggled with and I found out what her problem has been the past couple of days, she pooped out a screw!! 😕 |

| ![]() You have to yorkie proof your house just like you would for a baby. They love chewing at that age. Welcome to YT and the wonderful world of yorkies.

| ![]() Welcome to YT. I hope your baby gets better. I would probably let your vet know about the screw. |

| ![]() Vet knows about the screw. And yes, we have "Yorkie proofed" our home to the best that not only both of us see but others. Yet she still found it. We don't leave screws lying out in the open. I have no idea what she got it off of??? Sounds like my Diva is especially spunky? Thank you, Shark owner |

| ![]() Hello and Welcome! I swear it is all of them, Gizmo to this day if there is something on the floor that is not supposed to be there he has it and is running from me like a mad man to make sure I don't take it away. He will swallow anything before he will let me take it from him. You have to keep a constant eye on them especially while they are so young unfortunately. |
