Just let us know! If the SPCA can put collection boxes in Wal-Mart asking for donations of bags of dog & cat food, just let us know if you need some extra $ for all the "chow" those 7 little "hungry noses" are looking for! Feeding Seven Puppies & Lola is a lot of puppy food!! Just pop-up your address or a P.O. Box number and lots of us would like to help. Just think of the $ we spend on a meal-out on ourselves once in a while...it would be nicer to put it toward some puppy food! Hang in there! LOL Lots of good wishes to your whole "family"! Answer about location of food boxes. The "pet food collection boxes" appear inside the main doorway aisle at our Wal-Mart. They are not there year round, which leads me to believe that the SPCA might ask to place them when their resources are getting low or when they have a big surge of a animal residents. (Maybe there is a special "Pet Care Week" or Month on the list of state or federal special causes?) I know the SPCA also asks for visitors to please drop off food bag donations if they are coming by the shelter to look around....they'll also collect $ donations toward food & medicines that any visitor cares to give. Ask your Wal-Mart Manager about this great idea. |
Pups turned 6 weeks old this past Saturday and today had first vet visit which included exam, worming, shots and flea meds. and they even trimmed their nails. What good puppies they are..they never made a sound. Makes me look like a wimp cause I hate needles. Best part was when we were all done I was introduced to the Director of Gulf Coast & Southern Texas Animal Rescue and yup I signed up. I am now Foster Mom, not just mom. Best part is that my pups have a better chance for adoption and each new owner will be fully screened before they adopt one of my pups. Saturday we go to Petco to search out forever homes. Wonder how my hubby's gonna take it when we close this chapter and open another one???:eek::p;):) |
THAT is fantastic news. Good luck with finding homes through the rescue, and once again, thanks for all you have done for these pups this far. Hope Lola is doing well. |

That's great Joyce that you have a rescue helping!!! :) You have done an awesome job with Lola and her puppies! That was a huge undertaking and you never hesitated. Lola is SO lucky that you were there and cared. I shudder to think what might have happened to all of them if not for you. |
I've been reading all the posts here and just want to extend my HUGE Thank You Joyce for helping out the YT's!!!:):):):):):):) |
Thank you everyone! I will update after Saturday's big event for me at Petco; that is if I can see to type after the tears start flowing. I will be sad to see my little mutt mutts go! |
