OMG This Homeless Little Girl is Breaking My Heart I don't know where to start so I will just start typing. There is this cute little dog that comes and visits our shop everyday and we have been feeding her. She lives under a house across the street from my shop. I've tried to ask the people that live in the house if it's their dog but they do not speak english. I wanted to take her to a rescue or spca but my husband keeps telling me not to. She is full of fleas and what I have been putting on her is not working. No she is pregnant and full of fleas. I know if I bath her she will just go back to that house and get full of them again. I've tried asking friends and family and even our customers if they want her but noone has come forward. I am going to try to post a picture of her. She is a cutie and If I could take her I would but hubby says NO NO NO. This is just sad and I'm really not sure what to do. |
Aw I hope she will have a warm, loving home where she can have her pups. Do you know what kind of dog it is? |
She is some kind of Terrior, she is blonde and probably weighs under 20 pounds. She looks like a young adult. She would make someone a nice house dog and she deserves better than what she has now. I'm worried about the father and how big those pups will be. I don't think its safe for to have them. I am trying to post a picture that I just took with my phone but I always have a hard time posting pictures on this site. |
What kind of dog is she??? Or if she is a mix, can you tell what she might be mixed with?? Maybe a rescue would take her in. I would definitely take her somewhere, esp if she's prego. Her puppies probably won't have a snowballs chance if you don't. I am guessing your husband probably doesn't want to upset the neighbors, but if she's not confined to her yard, she could have ran away or easily been picked up anyways. I guess the good news is...if they can't speak english, they can't ask if you've seen the dog:) |
True. I just posted a picture of her in my Album called Homeless Girl. I've got to do something. |
Poor baby. She is cute. I hope you can find someone to take her. |
Wow she looks like a dog my mom rescued from the Humane society 14 years ago. She looks like maybe Poodle or Westie cross but not 100% sure. I really hope she gets a good home. My mom's rescue was full of fleas inside and out, was starving and had no food or water. She was a great dog tho when my mom took her in. Very loyal and was a shadow. |
Omg...I would take her! If she's living under a house her puppies will die :( Poor thing!! |
She really is cute. I hope she can get into a rescue and have healthy puppies. |
Aw she\'s very cute. You should definitely take her to a rescue shelter. Her and her pups can get proper treatment there. Whoever her owner is, obviously doesn\'t know how to care for her. |
She\'s cute and deserves a safe place to have her puppies. |
OMG Joyce nab this little girl and save her from the rotten people she counts on. They sure don\'t give a darn about her. Enlist the help of your family and friends. It is not easy to rescue. Often your heart gets ripped out. But when it works it is so worth it ! Your story encouraged me to tell one of my own. People have been wondering where I have been for the last month. So check out my story, No Ozzie, only Harriet. |
PLEASE don\'t let her spend one more day under that house! If there is anything at all that I can do to help you from MD, just name it! |
I would take her as soon as you can. I would not leave her to birth puppies by herself. If you don\'t want to take her then call animal rescue or the police and let them know what is going on. |
She looks like she might have some Maltese in her... If you call the SPCA and let them know, wouldn\'t they come out to investigate? Then you wouldn\'t really be "involved" as I\'m assuming that\'s what your husband is worried about. Thank you for trying to save her. I really hope you\'ll be able to find a way to help her and her future puppies... |
