I know it's too soon, but have you had people interested in adopting them when they are ready?

I have 2 possibly 3 people interested however, I need to get with one of the adoption agencies so that I will know all the questions to ask and also do vet checks. Lola had a rough life and I do not want these puppies to have the same. How can you really tell how someone will treat them. I will be scared to let them go but I have to. Lola is still cleaning after them but it will not be long before I have to and you are right she deserves a break. I have 2 large x-pens when they are ready and plenty of potty pads. LOL.

3 weeks is very early to me. I didn't expect them to dive into Lola's food but they did. I'm not sure if it will hurt their digestive system or not. They seem to be fine this morning but I will keep food away from them for a least another week. Lola has plenty of milk and the pups are super fat so I just don't understand why they acted so hungry. They can definitely smell the food and are now coming to the crate door when I open it. They are barking, growling, playing and wiggling their tails at me now.

Just did search on weaning and 3-4 weeks at a slow pace seems to be ok. Lola will know when to stop nursing so I think a little food along with her milk should satisfy them.

It all sounds amazing, and I wish you had a puppy cam on them so we could all see the little wiggly piggies playing. Thank goodness Lola pulled through and was able to nurse them and get them off to a good start.

I've been keeping up with your postings. I am so glad everything is going well. The puppies are adorable and Lola is a doll. I wouldn't be able to give them away either. That's my problem in life and how we ended up with 12 cockatiels and 7 guinea pigs.

I just saw and read this entire post today and have tears in my eyes. I just didn't know which way it would go (as some threads turn out to be so sad), but as I kept reading and saw the pics and video, I just need to tell you thank you. Thank you for being one of those wonderful human beings that was not daunted and needed to make a difference. And Lola. Oh my goodness, is she ever beautiful! She is God's blessing to you in the form of an angel for what you did to change those 8 lives. Her love will pay you back in spades!

Just a little note to thank you for helping with the pups names. I picked Putt, Driver and Caddy. Funny how the names fit them so well already!
